1. Quan Chi- I can't see this story without him heavily involved in it again. He has quickly climbed the ranks of importance in MK
2. Kung Lao- With no Liu Kang, he has basically taken his place as earth's "chosen one". Plus I would argue that its pretty safe to say that people like him a whole lot more than Liu Kang.
3. Mavado- Although I don't care for him too much, it seems to me from DA that the Red Dragon is on the rise and Mavado is the guy to lead the way. He just seemed to involved in endings and storylines to not be brought back.
4. Sonya -(or at least one from special forces). Someone from this group will for sure be back to deal with the Red Dragon.
5. Raiden- Again, such a popular character and important in the storyline so I can't see it without him. He is kind of like Scorpion in that when they weren't included in MK3 people were pretty ticked off so i doubt they will make the mistake again.
Tell me all of your thoughts!

Raiden
Sonya
sub zero
Tanya - i donno why but for some reason i think shes making a return for sure
Kitana

I am not talking about personal choices here and I only mean the FIVE characters you guys think will return. NO more and no less. Oh, also not counting the ones from the movie thus far (baraka, mileena, scorpion, sub zero. I don't want to speculate about anyone else and I am not sure whether to put Ermac in that group... I'm not gonna go there. I would argue....

1. Raiden since he is the 1st one to inform Earth warriors of a new threat and he is one of the most popular
2.Kung Lao. To me he is logical champ of the MK: DA torney. So I think he might have a major role in this one.
To be honest thats all I can think off in terms of who has the greatest chance plot wise coming back...

Raiden
Sonya
sub zero
Tanya - i donno why but for some reason i think shes making a return for sure
Kitana

2- Quan Chi.
3- Reptile.
4- Mavado.
5- Sareena.
quan chi - part of scorps story and popular evil character
Drahmin - even though his movesets were not all that great, the oni storyline and his appearance brought a refreshing new character into the mix
Raiden - no reason necessary
Mavado - red dragon will be an influence
2. Sonya: Special Forces are needed to protect Earthrealm and she's their general.
3. Kung Lao: Head of the White Lotus and Liu Kang's replacement.
4. Kenshi: Not sure why, but he was an important enough character in MK:DA that almost everytime I beat the game he was the one doing moves in the credits.
5. Quan Chi: Need that one really bad guy that is not loyal to anyone but himself to keep things interesting.
He's got to return. He's the only character with enough credibility to become the lead hero. Especially since he so readily took the role in Deadly Allince.
Probability: 90% (Hey, nothing's impossible)
2. Raiden
Earth Realm needs guidance, and I just can't see Fujin taking that role. Raiden should be back, and if he's not going to be in MK7, then have him die a dramatic death.
Probability: 80% (Not as likely as Lao as he can be replaced.
3. Sonya Blade
He's an original, and a good character. I think her story doen't leave much to dispute.
Probability: 90%
4. Cyrax
The writers have given him such a unique and branching storyline recently. It would be a HUGE waste if they cut him out now.
Probability: 90%
5. Quan Chi
I just can't seem him dying yet. Scorpion's back, and the amulet will probably play a big part of the story. I think Quan should live to see the birth of an evil he is partly responsible for, before he croaks it.
Probability: 80%
3.
Raiden- The thunder god is the guardian of Earth, his ending led us to believe that the Dragon King has returned. Raiden mentioned himself that he is ready to take on his forces. This character is the leader of all the fighters on the side of good.
Quan Chi- I believe he is a minion to the Dragon King. In the Deception trailer i'm assuming it said that the Dragon King would use the method of deception with an ally. I believe that ally is Quan Chi, he used the medalion to go through all realms and is reviving the Dragon King's army. Quan Chi is preparing the domination of all of the realms for the Dragon King.
Kitana- She is the queen of Edenia. I think that Earthrealm cannot win alone without some assistance. I think Kitana will concentrate her armies to overthrow the Dragon King from his throne. She is now the leader of her people and should be an imporant figure in Mortal Kombat Deception.
Mavado- He is the leader of the Red Dragon and judging from his ending video, it seems that Mavado had struck a deal with Quan Chi to not only fight against the Special Forces, but the Lin Kuei itself. I think he would be under Quan Chi, general to the Dragon King's army.Mavado could pave the way for the Dragon King as he leads his Red Dragon into battle.
Sonya- She is a true figure of a soldier. Sonya had lost her Special Forces base in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, and i feel that she will loose a few men. In Deception I believe that she is going to loose Jax, her partner and would be filled with determination to bring his killer down, Sonya will be at the fronts of all her battlefields and I believe she is going to unleash a fury that we have all not even seen yet.

Mavado: He;'s working for Quan and is after Sub and Kano. He'll be back to continue his quest. He's a valuable card in the fight between good and evil as he seems to be on his own mission as well as a hitman for hire.
Sonya: She'll be back! She is the Special Forces leading and she has to look after her organisation as well as help her fellow friends and the people she works with. There are still things for her to do and she was a strong character in MKDA.
Kung Lao: To make him a central part of MKDA and having him learn the Whirlwind Kicks basically tells us that he has now become very important in the MK world. This guy will be back. If he'd killed or defeated Shang, he'll be in there to help fight against the Dragon King and the other coming evils. He has been given a lot of potential now as a character.
Shang/Quan: One of them or even both could be back. Either one is going to be in control of the Dragon Kings army whilst the other is either dead or fighting for his life. This partnership was destined to be broken so it will be interesting to see who the victor is out of the two and who will gain the Amulet and the Army.
scorpion
quan chi
movado
kung lao
Quan Chi: See above
Sonya/Jax/Cyrax: Someone from the SF is gonna be in MKD. It's like a rule. Probably Sonya, though.
Raiden: He's one of the biggest forces against the Dragon King and his MKDA ending demands that he come back.
Reptile: Host for the ressurected Dragon King? Duhr.

Raiden - I think that like always, Raiden will play an important part of the story in the new game...whether as a good guy or as, who knows, the deceptor?
Sektor - He is still alive, that's for sure. He was in MK Gold following Cyrax, and MK:TE for the Game Boy Advance. There is a good chance that he was still following Cyrax in MKDA, just "behind the shadows" lol.
Mavado - With Kano possibly gone, the Red Dragon are even more powerful and play an important role in MK.
Kung Lao - Liu Kang is dead, "or alive as the Deceptor?", where would MK be without one of these two Shaolin Monks?
Noob Saibot - With the whispers in MKDA and his appearance in MK:TE for the GBA, Noob has a strong chance of returning for MK Deception. He would fit in very nicely in the dark atmosphere of the new game.

I Have Become as the Wastelands of Unending Nothingness. Now Shall the Night Things Fill Me with their Whisperings, and the Shadows Reveal their Wisdom.
Raiden - I just don't see him leaving for any good reason.
Reptile - has become the Dragon King.
Sektor - his MKTE ending suggests he will return.
Sareena - ditto for what I said for Sektor.
