Okay, so is there any other way of obtaining the headband? Seeing as how I have already finished Konquest...
Do you HAVE to talk to Chen and Wen BEFORE you are inprisoned? I'm guessing so, cuz Chen/Wen is not in front of the building at E-4 with old Shujinko...

To my knowlage, yes you do have to start this quest before going to the other realms.
