Ok, so there's a thread were we learned that MK:DA will have a clear winner as we go to MK:D. I'm just wondering who everyone here wants as that winner and why?

I would want it to be Sub-zero mainly because he's my favorite character and I'd like to him get into a big story.

Well there's a difference between who we "want" to win and who we "think" will win.

I think Shujinko will win but die in the process.

I want Shujinko to win then Shujinko takes the DK's soul and morphs back into Shang Tsung. (kind of a noobish fanboy idea that won't happen, i know)

Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. It seems less and less likely each update we get, but I still have a feeling that they could have won MKDA. But before MKD takes place the DK awakes (obviously) and his Dragon Army automaticaly become his own again. The amulet does nothing to stop the DK from reclaiming his army.

So why do I think this? There is no sign of Kung Lao, who was the best bet on being the champion after you beat MKDA and watch all the endings. We haven't seen Shang or Quan yet either, the DK stopped them and took back his army. We HAVE seen The Beetle Lair, The Netherbelly and Shang Tsung's island stage, so it's safe to say they are both going to be in MKD.

So I think Shang and Quan won MKDA.

Or if not that, Sub Zero...

If Raiden turned Evil then most likely Raiden or Liu if he was Evil.

IMO I'd be pissed if it was a "good guy" who won. It'd be like a "Happily Ever After....The End" kinda theme.

If it were a bad guy, it leaves the MK Saga to have a "to be continued..." theme, which would set up for MK7!!

Kung Lao, cuz he was the best of the DA alliance, though I think Mileena should win MKD

Kung Lao wins, but doesn't stick around to see DK, he goes to help Rai cho train warriors. Sub-zero aint the winner either, he goes and has to deal with the lin kuei. I say that Raiden is the Winner cuz he oversees all of the other events, but he gets blown up VEGETA style in the beginning. It would be cool to see the deadly alliance win but have a struggle like the endings of Shang and Quan had, maybe even a fight betweeen them and the winner gets head general of Dk's armies.

I feel yah on that. But it all depends on the outcome of DA. It has been said that the intro of Deception picks off exactly where DA leaves off, and we will get to see what exactly happens to the DA as well. If a "Good Guy" DOES win the DA tournament, then I, like you, would want the outcome of Decepion to end dark.

That way MK7 can be so fucking badass its unbelieveable.

Sub-Zero & Scorpion were both being propelled in MK:DA as the new heroes, And it may just be these two who finally ally together and take down the invincible Dragon King.

I'd also like to say Ermac, But i don't think he cares enough and is rather just helping his new friend. But he could, Being from Outworld, Be fighting for Outworld and kill the Dragon King.

Tanya or Jade!

If someone evil won, though, it would be awesome. The DK should probably win this one to add new life and direction to the story.

As far as MKDA goes, I have the funniest feeling that this is what happened, and there was no clear winner:

Kenshi frees Ermac, allowing him to wander on his own.

Quan and Shang hold their own martial arts tournament. Kenshi enters, so does Mavado, as well as Kano and Li Mei. Mavado seriously injures Kenshi and kills Kano. Li Mei's soul is absorbed into the body of a mummified zombie soldier.

Nitara uses Cyrax and Reptile to achieve her aims, yada yada yada. Nitara returns her world to its own rightful place, after sending Cyrax back home. DK is born through Reptile. Blaze wanders off.

As Scorpion tracks down Quan Chi, he is confronted by Moloch and Drahmin, who toss him into the Soulnado (but we know he survives). Cage witnesses their cruelty, and attacks and kills Moloch. Drahmin pursues him, enraged. Cage leads Drahmin around in circles, until Drahmin catches up to him. They fight, and both are seriously injured. Cage manages to rejoin his allies.

Sonya finds Kenshi's body, saves his life. Returns to Raiden and the others with him.

Jax pursues Hsu Hao, but is unable to track him down.

Kung Lao and Kitana go ahead of the rest of the group, and confront Shang and Quan, fought them. A brutal melee ensues, wherein Kung Lao dies, and Kitana is heavily injured. A second wave of fighters appeared, consisting of Bo Rai Cho, Raiden, Sub-Zero, and Frost.

The DA call in Mavado and Hsu Hao for back-up, but they arrive too late. Quan Chi and Shang are killed. Raiden takes hold of the amulet.

At this time, Jax appears on the scene, and beats Hsu Hao to within an inch of his life. Mavado escapes with his ally, saving his life.

Raiden opens a portal to Earth, intent on returning the erthrealm warriors home. They recieve a transmission from Cyrax explaining his return. More concerned with Cage and Kenshi's dwindling health than with Mavado and Hsu Hao, they return to Earthrealm to give them medical aid.

The DK appeares on the scene, captures Kitana, Hsu Hao, Mavado, and Drahmin, and takes the Amulet for himself (it's visible in his stage, if you didn't know). He takes command of his army, and for some reason or another, gives Li Mei control over her zombified form, ensuring her loyalty (and explaining her MKD appearance). He launches a full-on attack against Earthrealm, Edenia, and Outworld. He sends wave after wave of soldiers into Edenia and Earthrealm.

Sub-Zero orders Frost to return to Earthrealm to assist the Special Forces and rally the Lin Kuei to their aid. She agrees to go, but inwardly curses her lack of opportunity to acquire the Dragon medallion.

Mileena, Baraka, and Tanya ally with the DK.

Scorpion reappears, having seen the Elder Gods. Ashrah pursues him, determined to destroy all infernal creatures.

Raiden summons any available warriors from Earthrealm to assist them.

Kenshi answers the call against the advisement of Jax and Sonya, and, barely recuperated, returns to Outworld. Jax, Cyrax and Sonya remain on Earthrealm to deal with the threat there. Cage recuperates in hospital, at the same time beginning work on a script for a new movie.

Shujinko emerges from a lifetime of meditation and study, and joins the fight against the DK.

Fujin leads Stryker, Nightwolf, and Kabal on a siege against the DK. They fail, Fujin and Stryker are captured, and Kabal and Nightwolf escape, but are separated.

Kabal encounters Mavado, and reclaims his hookswords after killing him.

Nightwolf rejoins the earthrealm warriors.

Ermac again encounters Kenshi, who convinces him to ally with Earth's forces.

Shao Kahn has been watching these events unfold through the efforts of Noob Saibot, his loyal spy. He sends Saibot, Jade (who is woking as a double agent) and Reiko to steal the amulet for him. They fail, and Reiko is captured. Jade returns to Edenia to tell Sindel of these events. Noob Saibot escapes, barely living.

Back on Earthrealm, Sektor calculates that the occuring events are not beneficial to the Tekunin's conquest. Through Frost's poor judgement, and promises of power, he forms an uneasy alliance with the Lin Kuei, with every intention of destroying them, and Frost, once the war is over.

Smoke witnesses these events, and hurries to tell Sub-Zero of Frost's treachery. On the way, he finds Noob Saibot near death. Smoke performs a temporary fusion with him, and Saibot's mysterious Netherrealm essence returns Smoke to an organic state - etereal, but organic. Saibot, also altered by the temporary fusion, pursues Smoke, enraged at having been so used.

In Edenia, Tanya storms the palace and imprisons Sindel. Jade arrives and frees her, informing her of the events that have taken place. They escape to free Kitana.

Mileena siezes the opportunity to impersonate Kitana, causing confusion among the Edenian soldiers.

Raiden sacrifices his immortality in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the DK's hordes, led by Onanga (I.E: Skab).

Hotaru, Kobra, Dairou and Darrius enter the fray, each with their own ambitions.

And back on earthrealm, a soul, released with Shang Tsung's death, returns to its owner's body, heeding the call of his tutor. Liu Kang's grave opens...

And so begins Mortal Kombat: Deception...

It's still possible that Kung Lao won MKDA, but he may still be on Earth training the White Lotus Society. If not Kung Lao, I'd have to say Sub-Zero. Those two seem to be the most likely candidates for MKDA's clear winner.
