Who else think Mileena RULES in Deception (she rules PERIOD) and should definatly be brought back for MK7 ?! *spoilers*

Mileena is definatly one of the greatest fighters in MKD !!! She is among the quickest characters, has amazing special moves, has great juggles (especially in Mian Chuan) and is one of the most important characters of Mortal Kombat.
Upon seeing her ending and Baraka's, I see two possibilities:
1st. If she killed Baraka, then she must have her relationship with Kitana developed; like something that would bring her further than just a vendetta. And in MKD, she made many enemies: like Bo'RaiCho and LiMei, who followed her orders like fools thinking that she was truly the princess, and Baraka, who turned on her thinking she was defeating his armies on purpose, and Onaga, because she decided to have her own kingdom instead of following his orders like a grunt, and Sindel, because she made her daughter looking like a traitor, and Jade because she was a traitor to the people of Edenia. Anyway... she has A LOT of potential as a character, wheter you like her or not...
2nd. If she was defeated by Baraka, then according to Havik's ending, Shao Kahn was brought back to life and these two were close allies. So let's assume that he wants her back, and that, since Havik wants chaos to rule over all realms, he'll agree to bring her back to life for the emperor, she may come to life and have another chance of ruling.
Muhahahahah !!! ............. MUHAHAHAHAH !!!!!
Please add a spoilers warning when describing character endings.

I agree! Mileena is nothing short of amazing in MKD and I love playing as her. IT's true though that a lot of her LONGER combos rely on Juggling. But onces you really get her down and take the time to learn her well..she is amazing! I would love to see her back in MK7 and any MK game after that. Mileena is, whether people like to admit it or not, TRULY one of the most Interesting and most deep characters of MK. She has EXTREME potential. And I for one have extremely high hopes for her in the future. SHe remains my second favorite Female in MK EVER. Second to only you-know-who.

Mileena is good, I must say, I thought her combos were small, but then again, most characters have small combos in Deception, only a hand full had like 8-10 hit combos listed in the game.
As for her return, I vote no. I would rather see some other characters return from older games. example:) Rain, Stryker, Sektor, Sheeva, Fujin, Shinnok, Reiko, maybe even Meat, just for shits and giggles.....
Of course I am always a fan of Kung Lao to return....

MIleena kicked ass in MK:Deception. I'd love to see Mileena back in MK7.
I don't think the MK Team would bring back a really popular MK character only to have her killed off before the next game.
I was also thinking of the MK Team making a "trilogy" kind of game, with all the characters from MK4-MK7. They'd surely please a lot of fans...
BTW, TomTaz, is that a huge marijuana leaf behind Jade on your sig?!

I agree, Mileena is one of my favorites in MKD. I use her a lot in the game. Since she play an important role in MKD, I doubt that she might be in the next game. However I hope she is in the next game because I like her a lot.
I don't think she is the BEST character, because it all depends on who you are good with. wink Some people might be good with other characters so it all depends who you can play good with. Anyway I am good with her, so I guess I can say that she is a good character to play as.

Of course Mileena should come back for MK7. I want a final battle between her and Kitana. I personally was dissapointed by the storylines in MKD. Alot of them were "blah"........boring. For MK7 they should bring the top MK characters of all time. I hope they dont bring any old characters like stryker and stuff. The story wont evolve that way, it will just slow it down and wont make much sense, since there are many MK fighters already. Its hard to tie all those characters storylines together. I was dissapointed by many of the new characters..........Anyways i see mileena coming back for a next MK she cant just be killed off without facing her worst enemy kitana.
The all-star cast would be:
-Kitana
-Mileena
-Sonya
-Sindel
-Jade
-Tanya
-Li Mei
-Sub-Zero
-Scorpion
-Noob Saibot (now that we know his purpose)
-Lui Kang
-Raiden
-Kung Lao
-Baraka
-Johnny Cage
-Quan Chi
-Shang Tsung
-Shao Kahn
That makes it 18. The perfect cast in my opinion. I thought many characters like Kabal, Nightwolf, Ermac, Kano, Sektor, Cyrax, Stryker and a few others should just stay out of MK7. They are great characters, some of them, but their story lines aren't as important as others.

Well they killed off Frost who was super popular for a new character so they could bring back Bo' Rai Cho who almost everyone hates with a burning passion. THEN created Kobra so people complain as much about it.
They don't want all there key characters in a game like this. Since its a big hit they now have the option to have a MKD super delux encore edition they can sell us. If They make a new version adding all the DA characters they have something else to sell us down the road. They don't even have to add to the story or anything just make a super fan game with the people.
They arn't stupid. They know if the start selling a version with Shang, Quan, Nitira, Frost, Cage, Jax, Kung Lao, some other stages, maby some new fatalites the people will run out and buy it. I would. Compaired to makeing a whole new game it would be a quick and easy project that could net them a few million dollars in a hurry. When you start talking money its good modive for killing off people, and bringing them back from the dead.
Mileena is awsome and I hope she makes the cut next time. If the return cast wasn't so great the loss of Frost and Nitira's return would have made me really think twice about getting the game. As the saying goes "Always leave them wanting more. Thats the rule."

She's ok...but her specials are terrible. Telekick or Ball get blocked and you're in serious trouble. You have no combo after the Ball hits (WTF Boon?!). Her ONLY stance to be in is Mian Chuan, that's where the damage is (if you could even call it that).
All of that aside, I really like Mileena as a character...but as a fighter, she is going to lose. After MK2, she's been weak.

YingYeung adds: Use the ball when close to ur opponent, and its a real bad idea to use their special plainly.... juggle, then instead of finisheing with a weak % attack, just combo the KickFromAbove with a RollingThunder. Anyway, you must always rely on fair distance, and with Mileena, the key is to: Evade and Juggle. 100% Agreed. Mileena is all about the right distance. She's a character that has to get in, combo/juggle, then get out. By NO means is she an up- close and- personal fighter...if you stay close to your opponent as Mileena you're asking to get your ass kicked. She's about Distance, Evasion, and waiting for your opponent to fuck up and then punishing them dearly for said fuck up.

Frost was NOT super popular.
Even though I was (and still am) a fan of hers, I have to admit, she was pretty much hated by almost everybody. Everyone called her a Sub-Zero clone and sometimes even a Kitana clone. They said her concept was unoriginal, her moves were recycled "Sub-Zero" moves and her costume wasn't unique.
And for the record, I think Bo Rai Cho kicks ass!tongue

couldnt hurt to bring her back, she is as hard as nails. She probably owned deception though because she was one of the first characters made and they had a long time to perfect her.

i agree 100% sorry yy, but she is not a good fighter in this game.. sad ed boon needs to stop making just his fav characters tops in these games (mkda, mkd).. *cough* scorpion *cough*

Really? Thats the very first time I've EVER seen someone say anything bad about her. I liked her and everyone I know liked her. Would take her over Subby any day. I can understand why someone could see her as unoriginal but its not like Midway hasn't reused ideas before. So I prefer to think of it as refining an idea in Frost case.
Now Bo' on the otherhand I've only seen a few people say they like him. Almost everyone else has dissed him from the get go. 1st one voted off the vote off game. And not just first. He took first by a long shot. Like him all you want, its your right, but Midway knew good and well he was hated and they brought him back anyway. Personaly I think Boon is doing his mom and thats why he keeps getting MK gigs.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to counter the statement that she's a vital part of the story. She hasn't brought anything significant to series before MKD, and when she finally came back, she was still very one-dimensional. Jealous, hateful, deceitful. There is no sense of ambition, no reasoning behind her ways. She envies Kitana, and works for the villains. Unlike more in-depth characters such as Subzero or Kenshi, you could summarize Mileena in one sentence.
But don't get the wrong idea. As much as I dislike Mileena, I despise Baraka one thousand times more. Bad design, weak story, and useless without the blades. Maybe more original than some characters, but originality can only go so far.

I'm guessing you weren't on these boards when MK:DA came out, Frost was despised by so many and she was seen as a "filler" character.
BTW, Midway didn't put Bo Rai Cho in MK: Deception to purposely anger fans, the MK Team decided to include Bo Rai Cho because they liked him...
