the thread asked who was confirmed officially...i heard no statements from a mag, or midway sayin kitana or tanya(please no) were officially confirmed for the game.

Yeah, there are two pictures of him and Scorpion. He looks kind of like a samurai.

I didn't say tanya was confirmed by konqqr... but a different member, i think icy-x.

Kenshi has been in a few pictures in PSM already. So he is definitely confirmed. Kabal was mentioned in the GameInformer article, so he's basically confirmed as well.

The only three on that list that I have not heard about until recently, seen no pictures of, and have read nothing about on any websites or in any magazines are Kitana, Tanya, and Li Mei. I'm definitely curious now about these characters, as some that claim that they have inside sources say that Li Mei and Tanya will be in the game. Kitana on the other hand is news to me. Who is the source on confirming her?

Honestly, I'm not believing anything until it's written about or made official by someone with the authority to do so. Websites posting news, magazines etc. I could say right now with full confidence that Shao Khan is in the game, but you don't know me, and I would expect you not to beleive me because in all honesty, I just made that up. I have no idea if he's in the game or not, and I don't know if these "insiders" have true sources either. So I'm not taking anything at face value. No offense to them, as I'll gladly admit when they have proven me wrong. So again, no malice, no flame intended on those people whatsoever. Just me being sceptical and wanting proof.

i just want know some facts on when tanya was "hinted" to be in Deception? i know that Konqrr has said that Li Mei is in it, and i do appologise for mistaking someones statement on Tanya. but, i do want to know where this 'hint' can be found.

What the fuck? Tanya, Kitana, and Reptile are not confirmed yet. If someone on a message board said it, it becomes a rumor not a fact. If Midway says they are confirmed, then they are in the game. You people are being stupid if someone says he is in the game. No matter who says it, unless he is in Midway.

kitana, li mei and tanya are all unofficial. they may actually be in the game but the alleged insiders do not offer proof, only cryptic, self-gloating random diatribe about the huge secrets they know but cannot spill. they have no proof so none of those are yet confirmed.

There will be 8 new characters, 6 characters will be returning from Deadly Alliance, and there will be 10 classic Mortal Kombat characters from earlier installments – like Baraka, Kabal, Nightwolf, and Sindel – who will be making their 3D debut.

Read the last part of the sentence.... the others have been confirmed, why else would Kabal be in the list with the rest of the confirmed characters? Alot of trusted members have also confirmed this...

Yeah they got it straight from the horses mouth at Midway Gamers Day. How much more of a reliable source do u need than Midway?!?

U guys need to stop thinking what the ppl at the fourm say, Tanya, Kitana, and Li Mei are not confirmed. People just think they might, but they r not officially confirmed.
