I know Kenshi is on MK5..but what is the story on him was he a ninja or was he rain..because i had heard that name before

Shang Tsung doesn't kill Kenshi's ancestors, only blinds Kenshi when absorb the souls of his ancestors. And only can will say "Shang is dead" after seeing his death.
And Kenshi is with Sub-Zero looking for the portal to Earthrealm.
