The sub boss is RUMORED to be a chimera. Here's a picture of one...

...I also hope that a Cerberus might be a sub boss. Here's a picture of one...

...it could be the Dragon King's pet.

Don't you think the goat head looks funny?
I mean on the left you see a powerful dragon. In the middle you see a fierce lion. But on the right you see a goatgrin

I don't think a quadruped would make a good sub boss. The sub boss should be able to use its arms.

I'll take a stab at why it has a goat's head: it's probably in reference to Satan. The pentagram (a satanic symbol) is sometimes shown surrounding a goat's head. I'm not sure if this is right, but I think the goat's head symbolizes lust (goats were reputed, in past centuries, to be very sexually active; for example, in Shakespeare's Othello, Othello yells "Goats and monkeys!" when he thinks Desdemona is cheating on him).

By the way, does the Chimera have four legs, or just two, like that pic seems to show?

That is absolutely correct. I did tons of studying when it comes to mythology. In alot of mythological goat pictures, you will see a large human body(mostly red) with a goat face that has huge horns, and a long goatie. This refers to satan, as well as the symbol. You pretty much said everything. Check this pic out btw:

its so funny how mk started off all kind and cudly little tournament. to fight. now its turning into this satanic, develish, evil, bloody, powerfull battle... and im lovin it.
for carmansap or wahtever

the first one is really weird - bible says "revilations" their will be a 3 headed beast to rise once the rapture is over-

the second reminds me of the dog in hercules. lol

I theorize that the Sub-boss will be a transformed Reptile at the Dragon King's side. They said Reptile was going to be more Dragon-like in MKD when they referred to him in the last chat. I think since he hasn't been revealed or confirmed yet, he might be a secret character or a sub-boss. I don't think he is the Dragon King. His squeamish body might be transformed, but not into the dragon king. later
