Of course Baraka and Mileena "belong" together. They are both tarkartan.

Same with Reptile/Khameleon or Chameleon/Khameleon or Kira/Kobra or Sonya/Jax or Sonya/Johnny Cage or Sub-Zero/Scorpion. Who knows.

I like Mileena, but I don't like Baraka. Should they be together? Meh. It doesn't matter to me either way. I'd rather Baraka die and never return.

No! baraka is iconic. I'm glad they haven't piled loads of baraka clones on us (like sub has frost, kung lao has shujinko etc) cos it keeps him original and unique.

ps no he shouldn't get it on with mileena- it would kill a lot of the tension between them- unless they had some really abusive relationship- but i don't know how interested i'd be in seeing that in a MK game. Most relationships are only hinted at in MK and i think thats a strength- keeps you guessing

I think the best MK Couple would be Kung Lao and Li Mei

Baraka is a very bland, 1-dimensional character despite being somewhat iconic. He's had no real character development and his story is very redundant.

Frost and Shujinko aren't much of clones of Sub-Zero and Kung Lao aside from similar moves.

And that is frustrating

Well if they would get it one wouldint there kid become a clone and have the same moves too so what you want might turn out to be what you hate.

And thats something to think about.

I personally have never understood why people think they're relationship is a romantic one. I've always thought of it as more of an alliance, much like Tsung and Quan Chi in MKDA. They are always to quick to turn on each other to be lovers.

Anywayz, Baraka should die and Mileena should settle her differences with Kitana (not become friends, but get over this hatred... its gotten a little boring now). Then maybe she could just retire, since she has no purpose really.

As for them belonging together, maybe, but I wouldnt like to see that. They are monsters; they shouldnt fall in love and have these Hollywood, fairytale endings - this is MK after all.

I don't understand why people insist on calling Mileena a slut...*Sigh*


Their relationship has been quite an interesting one indeed...Lets start at the begining.


Pre-MK2/MK2

I'm guess their relationship began around the time Mileena was created. She met Baraka when he was recruited into Shao Kahn's Army. Being Neglected by Shao Kahn since he always favored Kitana, probably Mileena felt very alone during this Period of time. Maybe the only person she could really talk to or open up to is Baraka? She didn't have to hide her face for him, he would always call her beautiful. Maybe eventually they grew to love eachother?

Before the tournament in MK2, they plotted to murder Shao Kahn and take Outworld for themselves. This plot was probably fueled by Hatred, due to Both Mileena and Baraka having sore feelings toward the Emperor. Baraka and his race having been shunned into the wastelands for so long and just used as pawns could inspire some resentment. Also Mileena's hatred toward Kitana and Shao Kahn could have been another Factor. Though Sadly, their plan never came into fruitation due to Mileena's Untimely death at the hands of Kitana.

MK3/UMK3/MKT

Mileena returns feigning loyalty to Shao Kahn while secretly working for Shinnok. Baraka is once again serving Shoa Kahn in his invasion of Earth. Is he happy that she is alive and well again? Are they happy to see eachother? I believe so. Perhaps she convinced him to join forces with her in serving Shinnok. Together, they planned to overthrow Shao Kahn once more and make way for Lord Shinnok. Again the plan was a failure, due to Baraka's defeat at the hands of Kung Lao and the defeat of Shao Kahn at the hands of the Earthrealm warriors.

MK4/MKG

Both of them are serving Shinnok and aiding his invasion of Edenia. Mileena is mostly concered with avenging her death at the hands of Kitana in MK2 and snagging Edenia for herself, leaving Baraka in the dust. He is...Umm...Well...I'm not to sure what he was doing. Well whatever it was, it obviously wasn't that important. Mileena was imprisoned in the Edenian Dungeons while Baraka escaped into Outworld, as did most of Shinnok's Allies.

MKDA/MKD

Baraka and his Tarkatan Hordes were serving under the Deadly Alliance, pillaging and enforcing their will. They eventually overwhelmed Jonny Cage, Sonya, and Jax during the final battle. (Heh, maybe he even killed one himself?) Soon Afterward, He began serving Onaga. It is debateable whether or not Baraka realesing Mileena was because of his feelings for her or a strategic move. (or Even just a way to Bring her Back in Deception) But Mileena's on intention is getting revenge on Kitana, who was being used as Onaga's Personal Bodyguard. She posed as Kitana and mislead them into falling for a trap and easily be eliminated by Baraka's forces. But they destroyed Baraka's Tarkatan Hordes, which majorly pissed Baraka off. Mileena finally had anything she had wanted, but one obstacle stood before her...Baraka I believe part of Mileena's and Baraka's Endings were Canon. Their fight in the Beetle Lair took place, though either:

A.) Like in Baraka's Ending, it was another Tarkatan that went in his place.

B.) It was him, only there was no Winner or niether of them were killed.

Either way is completely plausible, but we will have to wait for their MKA Bios to find out what really happened.

From Baraka's ending, it appears he still has feelings for Mileena in a way. But Unlike him, Mileena's ambitions are more important than him and their relationship.

An Interesting one, but it should come to a close. I have the strangest feeling that Kung Lao is going to Kill Baraka, but hey Mileena's got a chance!

And Matt, who classifys Mileena as a "Monster"? And who ever said "Monsters" Cannot Have Feelings?
