Mortal kombat is great! But I just think it should stay half way... mortal I really hate the robots!!!! yeah i loved cyrax's fatality in DA ,but come on he's not a mortal. Nitara.. hmm ring a bell .. vampire. I also hate when they kill the good characters off and then magically bring them back.(Mileena,Scorpion,

Yeah, the people u mentioned are all mortal. I think u mean human/human-like - but I see your point. However, I LOVE the cyber ninjas, and Nitara and her vampire race are just getting interesting. If we had 6 MK games (without the spinoffs) of just human-looking characters then it would get really boring really fast. So MK needed/needs supernatural fighters, just so it doesnt get stale. Anyway, where's the fun in reality??grin

I agree with the others, if they had kept the fighters as normal human beings, the MK series would have gotten boring extremely fast. I like how they add these characters who have are unique in their own way.

And plus the word mortal doesn't mean "human" it means someone who doesn't live forever that, that individual can die.

no one is mortal in Mortal Kombat... even the mortals (Johnny Cage, Liu Kang, etc.) because no one stays DEAD! lol

yes, i get your point that kharacters should be mortal... funny thing is, if you ever notice in the movies or earlier games storylines only the Earth people were considered mortals... weird

and robots/cyborgs would be mortal too, because they can die or be destroyed... however, they could also be rebuilt over... hmm... but if they were rebuilt they wouldn't really have their soul would they?

and some1 said that the heroes should be immortal, and the villains not? uh, did you mean mortal heroes and immortal villains? confused either way it wouldn't work, because one side would never die
oh, and Nitara's not immortal... vampires can be killed with stakes, sunlight, high concentration of garlic, decapitation, and pretty much any other Fatality in MK that leaves an oppenent a pile of bloody entrails. thought that was pretty much common knowledge...

nope, nobody ever dies in Tekken either... they all come back for super swell Tag Tournament wink... hm, TTT was fun, but it was basically just a greatest hits collection of all the characters and stuff back... kinda like MK Trilogy... i think it's funny that a lot of the same people who bash Deception because it seems like a minor upgrade with more characters and looks like "Deadly Alliance 2.O" say that Trilogy was their favorite game in the series. funny... but not funny ha, funny hmm

Raiden is immortal and has been around from the start so I don't see the point.

I'm all for non-humans in MK, if there's going to be humans only then you might as well forget about all the sub-bosses for a start, I liked the shokans and centaurs for that matter.

What's the point of having other realms if they're full of the same species.

And my favourite MK games are MK2 + MK mythologies, not trilogy tongue The difference between TTT and MK Trilogy was that the ones that came back in TTT didn't have any effect on the story of the any of the other Tekken games whereas the ones who returned in Trilogy had something to do with the final MK3 battle against Shao Kahn.

The mix of humans and non humans is part of what makes MK unique from most other games. Take the freaks away, and you'd have just another average fighting tournament. Every type of character has their fans, I myself don't like the robots, but most of the monsters and other inhuman fighters in MK are very cool, and stand out from the crowd.

If by Mortal, you mean characters who die should stay dead, then I'm all for it. With very few exceptions, being killed and resurrected is not a badge of honor.

However, if you mean that there should be more human fighters like Sonya, Johnny Cage, Kai, Jax, Stryker, and such, then I personally disagree. The only "normal" human characters I like are Sub-Zero, Kabal, Kung Lao, and maybe one or two others. Otherwise, I prefer the freaks.

OK, first off. If you mean mortal like human beings, that would get pretty lame. What make MK cool is all the types fo fighters they have. Second Mortal means being able to die. Immortal means that you can't die. So the only guy that I can think that can't really die cause he's already undead is Scorpion. Everyone else can be killed.

Scorpion can be killed. He just comes back. He's not totally immortal. If he was he would never have been allowed to partake in the Tournament.
