He was great in mk trilogy but I guess most people hate him.I still hope they give him a army suit for deception if he returns.

I think Stryker was pretty cool, and I sure wouldn't mind seeing him again in Deception or further on down the line in future MK's. Many people think that he sucks but who knows? Their opinions could change if he suddenly sports a new look and some awesome moves.

that would be really cool. I like Stryker, i think the only problem with him is his story..he needs more involvement in the mortal kombat story.

Well if they give him a good overhaul in the looks and story department then I don't see the problem. Less security guard and more SWAT I say.

I always thought Stryker was very un-MK (using bombs, tazers and guns). If they are going to bring him back they should give him a major overhaul, but then they might as well just introduce a new character.

Well, I hope he doesn't, and since Boon appears to be playing to the crowd and re-adding everyone's favourites, I doubt Stryker will make it. After all, most people I know that play MK refer to him as the worst character ever, and a joke (and not an intentional joke either, unlike

i liked strykers character alot had alot of potental so yes he should come back with more better moves and fatalities.

Are you guys KIDDING ME!? How could you people even imagine the return of such a stupid character as Stryker? He was atrocious in all aspects of gameplay. I don't think one of his moves didn't involve some kind of modern weapon. His fatalities were just as bad. He looked completely retarded. His story, as far as I can remember, was that he was more or less entirely caught by surprise and just said "What the hell?" That isn't a story, that's worthless. Having Stryker is even stupider than having Rain return. Boo to Stryker!

Since when was Nightwolf a fan-favorite? As far as I could tell, people hated him almost as much as Stryker, but he came back. Also, the last time I checked, people WANTED Liu Kang gone, but now he's coming back. I doubt Stryker'll be in this game, but I would like to see him in a future MK. Personally, I like the idea of a one-man armory (he has grenades, a taser, a machine gun, a night-stick, what's not to like?), and I hope that he comes back. It's not that hard to write a good story and change his clothes, seeing as those are the main reasons nobody likes him.

I would be so happy if Stryker came back with all his weapons and a bad arse new look. But since most people seem to hate him, it doesn't look likely. Mind you, other less popular characters like Nightwolf, Tanya and Bo Rai Cho are getting another shot, so why not the well armed riot cop? He deserves a chance too.

I've never seen such a crap character design, backstory, FIGHTING STANCE (he looked like his arm was crippled because it was always by his side), and move arsenal. He had lame fatalities, and his face looked like he was a disgruntled, half crippled, middle-aged rent-a-cop. Did I also mention he was overweight?

It works out best for everyone if Midway and everyone else pretends Stryker never existed.

Funny u made this thread, cus I was playing MK3 yesterday and picked him for the first time in AGES!! And he wasn't that bad, realy he wasnt. I know alot of people disliked him, cus 'cops dont belong in MK' but if they revamped him, a complete overhaul - then I wouldnt mind seeing him back. I'd take Stryker over Nightwolf.

If they put him in full RIOT GEAR, like helmet w/ visor, bulletproof vest etc, and he can keep his beating club - then he might not be that bad.

So yeah, if they made him riot police, then I'd welcome him back (as long as he's good)

Agreed.

Gameplay-wise, he was interesting though. If given a chance at redemption, something may become of him but I'm afraid they'd just transform him into some kind of white Jax .

If he is all revamped and looks more SWAT style rather than some cheap rent-a-cop, I think he could become one great character.

He should only come back if he gets a revamp! He needs a totally new look and a decent story and some different special moves!

I dunno, i don't really think a cop-swat officer story would fit in this game.

I thought he was kindda cheesy

if they're going to bring back stryker they gotta change every single thing about him. His clothes looked like he got them from k-mart,his gun looked like a toy, his story was garbage and his fatalities sucked. But since all this army stuff is going round maybee Boon will re-do him to make him an army soldier and possibly lots of people will like him this time around.

I don't think so. I just didn't see how he fit in the game at all. Even if he did have a better looking outfit...how would he fit in Deception or better yet MK itself? Plus, he has all of these weapons but no fighting skill to back it up. Personally, I thought he was just a last minute fill in to the roster with no connection whatsoever. Every other character had a least some connection to MK or someone in MK, whether it was a past relation/alliance, or a grudge, or with the whole MK story in general.

To sum it all up: Stryker doesn't seem like he fits in Deception.

I liked Stryker he was tight with his machine gun and tazer n bombs. People say it was to modern well of course it was. If u look back MK3 was more earthly modern what else do you want of the guy he was a cop so of cource he'se gonna have a gun what did u expect a freaking musket? But I have to agree take Metal Gear Solid 2 for example the search n destroy team looked tight now If Stryker came back looking like that with a cool story then everyone will love him.

I think that guns and grenades arent MKish; kinda like putting Mokap in the game again (what's the pt.) He'd prob. shoot ya to death for a fatality, which is kinda corny and we already have a fart-filled drunk puking everywhere so I think he should be left out of this one at least!!!

Thank you! Nightwolf was equally as hated as Stryker around these parts prior to MKD. Now he has a new look and people don't mind him. Why couldn't the same thing happen to Stryker? And you're right, Liu Kang was hated too. But he's coming back. Same for Jax etc etc etc. Fan favorites he's adding my ass.
