Ok.. I'll be nice about it. Since no one can say anything bad about MK:D without getting flammed by people saying "you should wait to play the game", I think it's only fair you also wait to play it before you go off praising it.
However, I don't think it will be game of the year. Yes, you've got Halo 2 coming (which I also am no fan of), MGS3, DMC3, GTA:SA, and a few other big name games coming. Don't expect MK:D to be at the top of any list. Top ten, probably, that's about it though.

let's play the game before we go saying it's game of the year.
And in reply to an earlier post, I don't think MK:D will have any impact on fighting games besides MK. They've clearly given their all into this a great game, but most of the elements in it just won't translate into any other fighting game, and unless the gameplay is vastly different than before, other fighting games have much, much more solid gameplay systems.

I still say IMO its not Game of the year.. "Fighting" Game of the year, sure, But not over all.
