alex, daves dai just destroyed me 10-2... good luck.. his t/s droping ability is insane. but i will say, hes able u jump away from bo when u walk up to him after a throw, dont seem to be able to do that on box.. also i noticed today sindels weapon on ps2 does not work like it does on box. seem to be alot slower and has delay after hits, which it dont on box.

I mean other than Dave's dai, Saleen

Now as for the Dairou thing, hehe Alexei, i have been getting props lately for having the quickest TS drops with Dairou, i think i'm faster now than ever before, i really feel i would be able to take on dave.Despite which ever outcome may be for him or for me, there hasn't been a Dariou online here that can touch mine in quite a while. you know would you guys believe that i have been accused of having some sort of automatic controller where one button does the TS drop? LOL
And also, you said Isrealipyshcho is good??LOL, yeah right, i beat his Dairou in mirror match 4 times in a row then he attempted to infinite me with Ashrah and failed.The guy is a scrub Alexei.
And i know Kabal is the guy to try to take out dairous, but in a way i have beeen encountering more players that have tried to do that tactic, jump in up+2, try to get in close, it's a good tactic, but it's becoming a little predictable.But hey i love it, thanks for good Kabal players countering muy Dairou, it helps me a lot because now i know what i must do.
But yeah kabal is a great counter for top dai players.

land the fire ball, follow it with unblockable dash, 11c14 throw 50% damage . bo is still best dai counter.

MKF: explain how kabal is best counter against dairou plz?

dariou cant block for like 2 secs after his t/s drop. he can sidestep or do a move but cant block. plus if u are in good range and u side step a fire ball, u can land a dash also. same for a missed t/s drop. plus up close kabal is deadly.

Yeah pretty much what red just said, also though, there are also buffers with kabal that you can do, but only a few players know that much.Pig, if you want PM me and i'll tell you about that.Only because there are certain scrubs on here that i don't want to know it.

Since you guys are talking about Kabal he just happens to be one of the characters that I've been perfecting just in case I face MKF or a similiar Dairou player in this tournament. I'm not taking any chances so if MKF picks Dairou I will not pick Sub-Zero because due to his lack of offense it will be a very difficult match for me. Its amazing how powerful they made Kabal in this game he is just as powerful or almost as powerful as he was in MK3 he definetly should make an apperance in the next MK I think.

Yes, Kabal is indeed a powerful character and he's pretty quick. I'm glad that you have began mastering him. I remember using him in the skatering rink back whem MK3 was out. It's amazing how easy he can pull a 50-75% combo with just a simple retaliation off a raging flash.
Honestly though, Noob-Smoke is a better character to counter against Dairou's. When I played Dave's Dai, Kabal couldn't get the job done. When you go for a dash, he'll either buffer the teleport or d1 which will stop a dash.
When I played as Noob-Smoke, I had a better chance of beating him because the ff4 on Smoke will never miss after a missed Tombstone Drop and it'll still him him after a buffered teleport which you can then use 50/50 afterwards.

Scorpion, Liu and Kobra are also good against Dairou players

Yeah I've also improved greatly with N/S as well I can say my N/S is at least on Bobbyblaze's level or better now that I have been using him more I'd like some mirrors with blaze to find out. I never bothered to learn the character until reacenty basically for my dislike of the character. Smoke next to Subzero has always been a favorite character of mine in the MK series and I really think they fucked his character up by teaming him up with Noob. A majority of N/S players stay in smoke's stance anyway so he should be by himself. I also think his story would be more interesting if he was by himself , I would basically be using smoke as much as I use subzero if that was the case. What made me want to learn N/S is because I was informed by Fosterbrute he is the best character to take out cheap players who use (Bo, Dairou, etc.), so know I'm trying to master him due to the importance that I must have more weapons to use against players who play those characters

So CAN SOMEONE PLEASE tell me whats up with this and when i can get up in this shit. also can someone post a list of all the people that are in the tournament. Also what about picking first and second at the select screen? is there gonna be like one person picks first one game; then the other person picks first the second game, and what about corner trapping( completly legit) cause if i get someone in the corner (gameover). Hey Dizzle, there are links all throughout this thread to the standings chart, and the rules are their too. If someone that is at level 1 is out because they just aren't replying after a week or 2, you can take their place.

If this tournament doesn't go anywhere by this weekend, I'm forfeiting
Like really, how long does it take to find someone honestly.
I have school 5 days a week, plus 15-20 hrs of work. Not to mention I do workouts 1-2 hrs a day. Now if I can find my opponents easily, everyone else should have no problem. I know I'm usually calm but come on, this is getting ridiculous. How long has it been, at least a month now?
This tournament was organized superbly by Killer B. Plus, you people don't want me to leave, do you.
One more note, continously from this past weekend, some players are trying to avoid me. Say DON'T PLAY or NOT RIGHT NOW and that's it. It ain't rocket science especially for myself looking like an ass attempting to invite numerous times only to get ignored. Trust me, I know when I'm getting ignored. I'm not stupid! Telling me straight up is always better!
