I finally beat him. There are a few like that in the game. I still haven't beat Kobra right across the way in Edenia myself. He kicked my butt from here to no where

I was able to beat him after a few tries. Just keep doing your best combo and don't let up on him.

I used cheap tactics and beat him fairly easy with Kenshi.
I dunno if you know this or not, but evertime you challenge him, the character Shujinko turns into is random. If you challenge him and get a character that isnt Kenshi, just exit out of the battle and come back until you get Kenshi.
Just make sure the difficulty is on the easiest setting, switch to Kenshi's sword, then just keep using his back + square (I have a PS2) attack. Rarely did he block it. Just keep abusing that move and you should be able to beat him without too much effort.

Sub-Zero's pretty effective, too. Freeze and Upward sword thrust (pop-up) ^_^
If he blocks the freeze just sword-shwack him. Flawless, too o_o
I beat all those kind of fights with Sub-Zero: Freeze, 1, 2, 4, change, 2, change, 2, switch back to Shatokan, repeat. He's the most unchanged character(move wise) from DA.

I lost to him the first time I meet him, but later in the game when I went back around to collect Shujinko's moves, I got Mileena and used her cheap attack, a couple sky kicks in a row, then the double sai thrust, and more sky kicks, I don't recall him hitting me at all.

I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all the French beaches I'd never see. I wanted to breathe smoke.

Yes the best way is to be as cheap as possible. Examples Baraka and his blade thrust over and over again( how i beat raiden) or someone u kno a long combo for and just try to keep repeating it sub worked for me.

I beat him with Ashrah. It took a couple of tries. What you can do try to use grab moves on him as much as possible.

I used Darrius and got Flawless. Darrius' combos are effective not to mention his specials and weapon.

ok thanks I will try again later,
the problem is that the computer always give me character that I suck with like Dairou or Tanya.
can we really change the difficulty level of Konquest? do I lower the difficulty of arcade mode to do that?

As posted in the million or so other topics about this, I used Nightwolf and abused his spam combo (Spirit Arrow, Rhino Charge).

Sub Zero = 1, 1, 1, 1, repeat
But its all about luck, if the CPU decides to play dumb or smart.

Sub-Zero has a simple 8-hit 44% combo. I believe it went:
kori blade: d+2, d+2, cs, 1, 2, 4, cs, 2, cs (it's 8 hits cuz the 2 in dragon almost always seems to miss)
I beat Scorpion the first time I fought him. i was lucky enough to get Sub-Zero and thats the combo I used. I believe I had to use it either four or five times cuz of Scorpion's healing (takes three times using that combo to kill any ordinary opponent).

I beat him with Baraka by using his blades at the right moment. One combo I also used was starting with Silat do the combo first: 1, 1, 2 and it will knock your opponent up into the air. Quickly switch to the blades, and do (Up + 1) which will hit them in the air again. Move in a little closer, and do 3, 3, 2, 1, 1. It is a 9 hit combo that works pretty well. After the combo I'd always try to get him in the blade fury, and then, I'd repeat it until I won.
Another person I beat him with, I went back...Was Liu Kang. 1, 1, 3, Change Style, 1, (Up + 2) time it right and hit with all the kicks from the Bicycle Kick for a 12 hit, and then I switched to Nunchaku, and did 1, 1, 1, 1, and ended with either a flying kick, or bicycle kick. I kept repeating this until I had won.
Sub-Zero I did the classic combo from MKDA. 1, 2, 4, Change Style, 1, 2, Change Style, 1, (Back + 1), and then do B, F, 4. Ice clone, and he almost always steps into it, and I repeated it.
I haven't beaten him with anyone else yet.

I finally did it after about 5 hours...that "classic" Midway cheap A.I. combined with the scales being ridiculously tipped against you made it definitely one of the top 5 hardest things I've ever done in a game.
My method was cheap, but I don't care. I did what I had to to get past it. Using Bo Rai Cho, get Scorp in a jump kick pattern until he's backed against the wall. As soon as he blocks a jumpkick for the first time, use a throw. BRC's throw is nice because then all you have to do to throw another jumpkick is take one step forward and jumpkick. Once you have him against the wall, just alternate between throws and jumpkicks and EVENTUALLY you'll get him.
This obviously doens't work every time, as he'll pull out a breaker right when your one hit away from winning, then kick your ass (happened to me at least 3 or 4 times). But it finally worked. And it was a flawless, no less. grin
