I think it will be Lui Kang's Ghost or something like that.

I'm expecting something using "Onaga" as a name. Maybe it will be The Last Dragon?

Could be Onaga/Havik (whichever one isn't Skab), could be Reptile supercharged, could be Liu Kang.

Since the Shokan are a dragon mix from what I remember, I am guessing a more Dragonlike Shokan warrior. Seeing as he is the DRAGON King you would think in that direction but who knows. My 2 cents

That's very true, Reptile88. Unlike some people here I would never try to pass off my beliefs as fact. They just happen to usually turn out that way. wink

Less often, they don't.

An evil zombie Liu Kang under the DK's control.

An even MORE mutated Reptile, bigger, more savage, more monstrous and much more powerful.

Or something completely new.

I'm not 100% sure it will be just one. In MKT you would fight Goro, then maybe Kintaro and Motaro in endurance before finaly getting to Shao Kahn. I would think it's time to bring that back, and I for one, would like this idea.

Liu Kang definitely is a possibility, as is a shokan (perennial sub-boss), and for some reason I think Blaze may be a sub-boss of sorts. If you don't count his ending, when the DK awoke he would still be his protector. It's unlikely (considering his MKDA ending) but I think he'd be a helluva sub-boss...

well if you think about it , the dragon king is built more like the "Traditional" Mk sub bosses of before. So maybe the Sub Boss is more human like I.E. Liu Kang...... or ...... what if the Dragon King IS the sub boss, and the real boss is .... dunt dunt daaaaaaaaa .. LIU KANG !!! or not ....

You make some good points actualy jpetrunak.

Well......(I'm not gonna let this restgrin) here's a quote from Boon himself a while back:

"Well, the Dragon King is the big bizarre -- he's our Goro, he's our Motaro. He's going to play a huge part of the story. In the opening FMV, you're going to see everything...He's got a really cool background when you fight him."

We HAVE seen the DK, and odd move if he is the final boss, I'm not saying he isn't, but I wouldn't rule anything out...

BARAKA!!! he is the sub-boss, i'm 99% sure. i used to think that the DK is the sub-boss and Baraka is the final boss, but so many ppl say that the DK is teh final boss so i changed my mind. and think about it, i mean baraka is the DK's best soldier, and u gotta get through him before u get to the DK.

I have my reasons to doubt Baraka is the sub-boss. Most of them stemming from his immediate playability.

in MKDA the 2 final bosses were playable at the start (shang/quan)! besides it's usually a big monster and a playable character that are the bosses in MK.

actually, except for MK4 and MKDA, the sub boss and final boss weren't playable at all. MKDA sub boss wasn't playable and MK4 only by a code.

Does anyone think that it might be Rayden being controlled by the Dragon King?

u forgot trilogy. so look at it this way. in the last 3 games, at least one of the bosses was playable (all of them in trilogy), so why would they change it now? i am 99% sure that the sub-boss will be a playable character with a weapon and 2 styles. and i'm pretty sure that it will be baraka. he's everywhere and his story is appropriate(sp).

Because playable bosses suck. Non-playable bosses are where it's at. tongue

No, I don't. Because bosses are supposed to be more powerful than you. Making them playable pretty much means they're only going to be as powerful as the rest of the playable characters. The only exception being Mortal Kombat Trilogy, which wasn't really a game in and of itself.

Shao Kahn was a good boss. The Dragon King will be a good boss. Shinnok, Shang and Quan Chi were horrible bosses. Well, except MK1 Shang.

well if the bosses were more powerful than u, it would be impossible to beat them... since they're more powerful...
Maybe Boon will surprise us, and the sub boss will be Stryker.

No, its not impossible. It's just hard. That's the point of an end boss. It's supposed to be a hard fight.
