I just purchased my network adaptor, I'm hyped.
I already use it for Madden 2005.

yup im ps2 as well. could use the xbox but damn i hate that control. plus wont cost extra for ps2

Yeah...the X-box controller is just akward for me, as is the GC controller...buttons are just too close together.

I'll be a player, can't beat free :)

I still need to get the network adaptor, I'll pick one up soon. I only have a PS2 so it really is no choice to me -- unless my friend who has an Xbox also gets the game and I can play it both ways!

I'm already wearin' out the adapter with Socom II, Madden, and FF XI and I will definitely be on as SleepWalKer or AcesHigh.

i want to get an adabptor soon cause i have DSL so that give me a lot of games i can plaly online with.

i was waiting for this, its about time somebody started a PS2online forum...i give u props Cpleck, but anyway i dont want to argue or anything but keep in mind that some online games(the good ones) for PS2 you have to pay monthly just for that one game. anyways keep on doing ur thing i wanna see from MKO who plays most XBL or PS2online

Umm... There are only 2 games that I know of on PS2 that you have to pay monthly for... Everquest and FF XI, which are MMORPGs. I have yet to see an MMORPG on any platform/computer that doesn't require a monthly fee due to server maintenance, updates, patches, new items/monsters/quests. Where as, fighters, fps's, sports games, etc... are all free.
There could be others on PS2 that require payment that I do not know about, and maybe XBOX has free MMORPGs that I have not heard about. Can anyone confirm a game that has to be paid for monthly on PS2 that is not in the said genre(MMORPG), or one that is in the said genre on the X-Box that is free?

I am game. I'm playing it for PS2, although I will also have it for the XBOX. Since PS2 is free, I try PS2 first. Then go for XBOX. SHoot, only if XBOX had system link.

EB has them for $30(pre-owned). $40 is the standard price though.

Sorry but PS2 online just sucks. I will be playing xbox live instead. Just because they let you play for "free" doesnt make it better. It drops your connection all the time, very bad lag, and you even have to buy adapters and all that junk just so you can play where as xbox comes ready to go. Sure you have to pay 50 bucks for a year for xbox live, but its definately worth it as opposed to having to pay monthly for just one game like ps2 does. Xbox owns, just face the facts. I'm not dissing on all of you ps2 owners out there, at least you didnt get a gaycube. But you need to admit that xbox is the better system. Thats why developers make games on the xbox and then port them down to ps2 (i.e. Splinter Cell, MKDA & MKD, etc) and thats why xbox gets all the good stuff like more choice on artwork with the special editions and junk. Its just because xbox can handle more than a ps2. But anyways, yea, i'll be using xbox live. sorry ps2 owners, just trade it in for an xbox and youll be happier.
