Darrius

Darrius is a samurai? Was that confirmed? I don't this that the person who was supposed to be Dairu.

Darrius doesnt really look very samurai-ish... he looks more like a ninja than anything else...
Actually, arn't samurais like police (Order) and ninjas rogues?
So it makes scense that Hotaru's anthitetis is a ninja...

Interesting fact: Most hotarus are famale... never met a male hotaru untill now.... and Hotaru means Firefly

I like Hotaru! I think he looks amazing and Hot!!! (OK, the Hot thing was a JOKE! ) Anyway I like Hotaru better, plus he is evil and that's a plus on my list.

OK, well, i think darrius looks cool, but Dairou looked so much better in those concept drawings. And plus, Darrius looks so unoriginal...y did they give him a mask? Theres already a lot of people in MKD with mask on and that got me mad..so thats y i think Hotaru is better...

but i dunno, i guess we have to wait til the game comes out to see them in action....

Hotaru looks cooler becuase he's got such a unique samurai design I've never seen before I'm really digging the look.
But i dont know about darrius so far. I was kinda looking forward to another samurai design but i really like his story we'll just have to wait and see.

Hotaru look is WAY better so far in my opinion. His look is one of the best I've seen in some time, while Darrius looks like a cross between Morpheus and Jax, and neither of those seem to be flattering references to me. Plus, while I haven't seen Darrius' moves yet, I already know that I dig Hotaru's. Or the few that I've seen at least.

The only thing that I think Darrius has on Hotaru so far is the story. I definitely like Darrius' story more. The whole idea about some seeing him as a hero and others as a terrorist gives him a bit more depth of character, which I dig.

I'm not entirely sure though that Darrius is a Samurai though. The concept of Dairou was a samurai, but Darrius is not Dairou, to the best of my knowledge. Which is a shame, because I liked that concept drawing a lot more than the picture of Darrius. Oh well.

I ahven't seen Darrius yet, but his story sounds really cool. Meanwhile, I'm really not much of a fan of Hotaru's design. So, my vote goes to Darrius.

Hotaru is better by far. Hotaru's look is original and very kool, plus his moves already look to have some good pontential in fights.

Only thing known about Darrius is his looks and story. Story is ok and considering I don't place much important on story, it all comes down to the looks with him and Darrius is weak in that department.

This is kind of a stupid question, considering the game isn't out yet. Right now it's just a matter of who has a better look and story, not fighting ability. Wait for the game to come out, then we'll know who's better. No offense.

Why is Mortal Kombat all of a sudden making very bad people? I did not like Bo rai cho...at all. I dont like Hsu Hao..Drahmin, Moloch, frost is okay..but she doesnt have that original look and feel. I like HOTARU. He is actually gonna be the 1st fighter I use. I love his look and his story.

IMO Darrius has got that unique MK look. Hotaru is kinda boring, just look's like a regular samurai. Not to mention the name Darrius just sounds alot more bad ass than Hotaru which sounds too similar to Motaro.

I don't think anyone from the U.K will be able to see the name Darrius as "Bad ass", being as there is a very lame singer by that name down here who sort of....buggars it up
