Why are Li Mei and Scorpion's weapons almost completly the same?

She holds her weapon like Scorpion holds his, she has some of the same attacks as his does, and they look the exact same except for the fire that surrounds Scorpion's when he swings it.
Why is Scorpion getting ripped off again? (In DA his ninja sword and Kenshi's katana were basically the same weapon with different names, and Deception looks like it'll be the same with him and Li Mei).

i notice that also, but i guess they're just testing it on the person that looked best to hold the weapon

Ashrah's Kriss, Havik's Morning Star, Scorpion Sword, and 2 of the stage weapons I've seen all have the same damn moveset.
This better have changed.

yeah what is wrong with this...same movements and the fire when she swing the sword...its the same damn sword.i hope that will change.

think that the sword was a stage weapon. i think it replaced her morning star for the time being.

talkin about stage wepons does every stage have a wepon and death trap i dont think the classic monk one has eithe and i dont think the spike pit has a wepon
