Yes. Yes it is.

If I'm not mistake, the Kriss is the same weapon that Liu Kang had in MK4.

ASHRAH:
The demon hunteress Ashrah was back form a pelgrimage on th far planes of Edenia. Upon her return she was ask by the God of Thunder himself, to marry him.
The day of her ceremony, her mother had givving her her old Wedding dress...
But sadly, Rayden never showed up, caus he was weaken by his electro-blast given to de Dragon King.
Ashrah decided to go on a quest to kill the DK for it was him who had destroyed her wedding plans!

I don't think Ashrah is a clone of Raiden, she doesn't throw anything that Raiden did!. Even though she looks like him to some people. I don't think she is a clone. just my opinion though

I dont know, it just seems that I cant picture ashrah being a raiden clone, or a permanent character at that. I mean, Im not trying to flame Ashrah or anything, but, I guess Ill have to wait until Deception comes out to find out if she is a serious character.

Mabey Ashrah got her powers from Raiden..like after the blast he fired from himself, some of the blast went thru a building or something where Ashrah was sleeping, or Mabey the Dragon King was protected by Ashrah's powers, and thats why Raiden's blast didnt kill the DK. But id love to see raiden shoot the blast out of his body in the opening cutscene.

The Kriss Sword is an actual weapon. Here's a brief description of it:

Flaming Kriss Sword

The Flaming Kriss sword has an overall length of 35 1/4 inches with a blade length of 27 inches. The blade is a wave design and is mirror finished. The handle is made from ebony hardwood with a solid brass hand guard and a solid brass pommel in the shape of a crescent moon. It comes with a heavy leather sheath.

Ashrah is a dharling lady from the bburds of London. When she was tending to her garden with her gardening suit and hat with mosquitoe net included, the dragon king went past by and stepped on her azaleas.
She got pissed and decided it was time for revange!!!!

Nah, I think her outfit kind of mixes the "shrime maiden" white look with a more ninja style....
