I have heard in several places that there is missing information in all the game guides for MKD. Now, if you are forced to go online and get the remaining info, which will prolly be the best info, why get the guide? Is it even true that the guides will lack info because Midway doesnt want people to know all the secrets right away?
I stopped buying guides years ago.
I get everything I need off the net.

I was really surprised when I found out that the guide doesn't have everything in it. As soon as I found out, I went right to EBgames.com and cancelled my pre-order. I'm not paying 15 bucks for something with just Fatalitys, specials, and combos.

The don't want some stuff in the guides because these days gamers are lazy as hell and don't bother to actually PLAY the game. They just skip through and find everything and then stop playing it within a month with a guide. Now, this way, you actually HAVE to play the game. It's a smart move from Midway. I only buy the guides for combo's, moves, and artwork. And, to the person who posted before me, thats not all thats in it. They will have TONS of secrets and info about where to find stuff in Konquest. They just won't have the major MAJOR secrets in there.

I never get fighting game guides either because most of them know less than I do..and I dont care about secrets and such because I can find them faster off the net and for free. The last guide I did get was the Versus guide fot Tekken3. That guide was GOOD! Never before and after it was there a fighting game guide that even came/comes close. If they still made them that good I would buy them...but they dont even come close...at all.

I don't want a bigger movelist Boon. I want a reason to use more than
10% of the ones you've given me. Fix MK with Move Properties.

MobiusakaBorat, you gotta pick up the SF Anniversary guide man. It's written by the best players in the nation and oldschool players that I haven't seen posting or playing on shoryuken.com since who knows how long. They have framedata, kara-throw strats, etc. It's hella sweet reading matchup and mixup info from the nation's best, I finally know what John Choi is thinking and all of the angles of it when he's raping peeps in 3rd strike at my university's arcade, lol.

...Grasshopper...
"Why get the guide."
"Why get the guide at all?"
Believe in yourself and you shall find the things that are missing fro... oh what the heck am I saying.
Guides ruin the adventure of discovering stuff on your own. Save your $15 and use it to invest towards the $50 toll for half-life 2.
