The problem with Tanya is that she's very dark; That could mean she's either Latino or Black. Again, in MKD, she's nowhere near as dark as she was in MK4; Her face and skin color resemble a woman of caucasian decent, not Latin or Black.

Many don't care b/c Tanya is not that popular of a character. But if they suddently changes Jax from black to white, or Liu Kang from Chinese to white, etc., many would be disappointed by this.

As was said earlier, it ruins the feeling of continuity in the MK series.
