Alot of mk fans disliked MKA but for me because i never played MK4/Gold i never played as any MK4 era character before although i knew of them.
So for me Kai, Jerek, Shinnok, Fujin and Reiko were new characters, all of which had never been playable since MK4 and Gold.
So i had not just taven and daegon, but the bosses shao kahn and onaga, sub bosses Motaro, kintaro, Goro and Moloach plus the above mentioned fighters plus Boss blaze, Sareena, chameleon and khameleon.
So thats 17 new fighters for me, each with combos, costumes and specials!
So thats the main reason i loved MKA

Deception was better.

But how? Armageddon most of what deception did exept the unique fatalities, 2 unarmed styles each, a few levels missing from A, the mini games, konquest, jump system and indicator bars.

I def agree that deception was better. But when you ask how I dont really know how to explain myself.

Now MKD was so FUN. Konquest was really fun, more so than the MKA, even though the features were less. MKD's gameplay was cool, and the fatalities(REAL fatalites) topped it off for me.

Im really finding myself struggling to find out what was so good about MKD over MKA.

MKA was the first game i ever followed a whole year prior to release. When it came out, it was SO fun and I was so excited. I played it a lot but it eventually got worn out, MKD, on the other hand, I had to be sure i 100% it.

They were both fun to me, but critics will disagree. I will always prefer UMK3 anyways.

Pros of MKD compared to MKA
Combos weren't dummed-down
Air Kombat did not exist
Everyone had two fighting styles and a weapon
There were actual fatalities
The storyline didn't suck ass
Character endings actual made sense and were interesting
Every stage was unique (MKA had a lot of trash imported from Konquest)
Puzzle Kombat is just way better than Motor Kombat
The Krypt had better content
MKD wasn't as rushed as MKA

What would have made MKA worth my while?
I listed it all in this thread

Chess Kombat was definitely the thing for me that made Deception as fun as it was. Endurance Mode in MK:A Wii wasn't bad either. I think that MK:A worked as an experiment if anything for the developers. Kreate-A-Fighter and Kreate-A-Fatality were new additions and there is a possibility that we will see either one of them in future as well. Actually, though, NeRdS tend to experiment something new and odd in every installation, more or less.

I liked MKA, but the story was just bad. What they should've done was make MKA non-canon like Tekken does with Tekken Tag games.
