for what i think,its just a change,he's always in white, i guess he looks way better in black,which he does..an for that to be done they had to give him some type of story; like, i think an heard that quan an tsung are trapped in his body tryimg to take over it, it seems pretty kool if so...what do you think?

I just came up with a new theory a few days ago that seems right.

In case you didn't know already, Raiden released his godly essence in an attempt to defeat onaga, which failed and killed shang tsung(read liu kang's bio) and ? quan chi(probably dead too.)
so since raiden has released his godly essence, he has lost all of his, godliness sort of.
not exactly sure how to explain it, but i think he might be evil now, and has like a demon essence or something. But he definitley has something wrong with him that i can't really explain. He just isn't godly any more.

WEll... cause of Lius io where his soul wants to stop his body, I think when Tsung dies it frees liu's soul (like the kano ending) only instead of going into Kano it goes into Raiden's corpse, and he tries to stop his body which was revived by the DK

Speaking of eyes why does Baraka have pupils arent Baraka eyes black like a aliens.I wish they kept the alien eyes.

The only image of Raiden I have seen is the one on http://mortalkombat.midway.com/ in which he appears to look like his good old self.

Here is a theory.Now Raiden used his godly essence to try and destroy the Dk.Quan saw what he was doing but Shang didn't,therefore Shang dying in the explosion.We know Raidens outfit is now a burnt up tattered black,and his eyes are now red.Is it possible that Shangs spirit or magic got into Raiden?Or even Quan chi's perhaps?They are sorcerers...who knows.Shang escaping death all these years,there has to be some sort of trickery behind all this.

He has turned to the Darkside.
It seem that that is a good posibility after what he tried to do with his powers.

Raiden did not die. He's a God, he can't die. He did get pissed off at humans, and is now referred to as Dark Raiden. The humans will protect Earthrealm or they will die.

We dont really know (only that he almost killed himself) but its an awesome change.

Or....could it be possible? Perhaps this isn't Raiden at all, it could be Tsung using his last bit of power to morph into Raiden's likeness, and with the blast he was able to absorb a bit of his godly essence and thus become the Dark Raiden, and then when whomever defeats the Dragon King, he congradulates the combatant to only just take their soul and become once again the strongest fighter in the realm, thus Deception! Of course, Kahn would just come out of the shadows and kick his ass old school style with a bunch of energy arrows and shoulder blocks...

k, Raiden made a sacrifice of some sort. Whether it was Shang Tsung or not.. There was still a sacrifice abd it hasn't really been openly mentioned what exactly his sacrifice was. Raiden relinquished his status as an elder god AND defied the elder gods... I doubt he'll just get a slap on the wrist but who knows.

it's very possible that even if Raiden caused the death of both quan and Shang,Raiden could've become evil by absorbing their evil energy.In order to kill them,he probably had to sacrifice the good in him.
Can anyone here even fathom Raiden being evil in this game?I haven't heard too much worry over it
