Why the delay on the remaining confirmation of characters?

Do you think the reason big players like Kitana, Sonya, Raiden, Quan Chi, and others are being not confirmed on purpose to stir up hype and discussion? What's with the reason of holding out the information .. I don't get it .. Personally for me I get nothing but frustration. I get hyped up for a game when people tell me about the features, gameplay, reviews, etc .. not wondering on who will return or not.

I also don't believe it's because they aren't sure on who isn't returning or not .. by this time they have to have a complete lineup in order to form a proper story that goes together with each character involved .. any ideas on this?

i would like to know the whole list except for the ones that are going to be hidden. I want to be surprised.

With the exception of Raiden, I think the reason they haven't confirmed those characters is because they're not in the game. I like Kitana too, but it isn't looking likely for her to return.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: If Kitana is NOT in MKD, then expect me to run amok in Chicago in front of Midway's headquarters, and hopefully get in trouble, maybe even arrested! I apologize if this is interpreted as a threat, but I will be EXTREMELY upset if they do not include Kitana in MKD. I think part of the reason for her storyline being so screwy is the fact that she has been included in "fan-service" games for MK3 (UMK3 and MKT) and MK4 (MKG).

I really hope this is the case. Kitana would be awesome in the game, but I am really, really hoping for Sonya.
