Wouldn't it be fair to assume that a book based strategy guide would be aimed towards a consumer with little to no access to the internet?
It's terrible to see them combining these two forms of strategy guides in my opinion. I never got the MK6 guide due to piss-poor reviews of it, but I did get the Final Fantasy 9 one, and let me tell you... stupid.
The purpose of a guide used to be a complete walkthrough of the game as well as all the cheats, strategies and secrets. Guides in the past were quite commonly twice as thick as today (I remember a street fighter one being thicker than any I've seen today aside from maybe Star Ocean 3).
I Believe that in the case of MK6, they should have had a full guide telling absolutely everything, for the gamer that does not have access to the net. If someone DOES have acces to the net, they likely won't buy it anyway unless they want pictures and stuff or appreciate the convenience of a book. Selling a book of this nature with only part of the information is wrong in my opinion though, and misleading. How is it that strategy guides prices have doubled, while the information has dwindled?
For the player who dissagrees with strategy guides, and giving everything away, you have the choice not to look (which is usually the choice I make). But for the others who like a guide, they are being gipped as players, and I think we nned to go back to the good ol'days of big beefy strat guides with more info than we know what to do with it.

Well Midway kept them limited on the amount of information they were allowed to put in the guide. That blame falls on the shoulders of Midway. The incorrect combo's, the SMALL text, typo's and everything else wrong with it is totally bradygames fault. They both screwed this one up good. Very disapointed alot of us are. People will remember this with future games before picking up the guide.
