Why was Sonya removed from MK: Special Forces?

The game not only acted as if Sonya didn't exist, but that it was Jax who had a personal beef with Kano. It's a pity how the game turned out, as it was promising.

They should have never conceived this game to begin with.

Neither Sonya nor Jax really warranted their own title in the first place.

From what I know, Sonya was going to have an alternate alias during MKSF (for the job) that was going to be used as a replacement of the familiar name, as you may well realize. This was what another operative was known as in elite ranks though. So the moniker was discarded altogether and they kept just the military attributes to Jax and removed the premature coded names, in MKSF for good.

I don't see in what way that other alias would have affected Sonya's gameplay, to the extent that it was easier to just remove her.
