I agree. Baraka has been my favorite character in the whole MK series ever since MK 2 first came out. I've been disappointed every single time a new MK game came out and Baraka was missing. He'd better not disappear again or I am going to be pissed. I don't think it'll happen though. I think that this time Baraka is here to stay...

I remember getting MK2 on Christmas day. I was amazed by how badass Baraka was. Story and all. An insane nomad raging with fury and prone to violent outbursts. I can't wait to see how he goes over.

IM really praying his fatalities are good. Not like they did in mk gold thos were awefull. The one theyve anounced sounds awesome...i hope his other will be a mix of his old ones. He should start by impaling the opponent with one blade then lifts them off the grouynd with 1 arm while hes holding him he should taunt him or something hen using his other blade he should decapitate him.

well his fatality which is already confirmed sounds awesome. i remember when midway confirmed subbys fatality before the game came out..i thought it sounded dumb and it ended up being dumb, but barakas sounds awesome.

I never really liked Baraka, but I'm glad he's in. He could really help the story. I do believe, however, we will see the last on Mr. Nomad in this game.

Baraka is my all time favourite character, i was literally obsessed with him when i first played MK2. As a matter a fact, he was the first character i beat MK2 with.

I think baraka needs to be in the spot light more, and he needs to get more involved in the story. I'm dieing to hear what his story will be about, probably siding with the DK and decieving mileena.

Baraka is definately one of the best MK characters ever, a true bad ass.

Baraka was also in MK Gold.If you havent seen him since MK 2 well he did look alot better.I thought he was one major player in gold even though quan kills him.i hope they dont cut him short in deception he is truly evil.a great bad guy you know.

I think Baraka is also a far superior henchman character to the snivelling whiney, Reptile. Hopefully, with Reptile transformed into the Dragon king (or out of the game for good) Baraka can become the new henchman character.

Baraka was my favorite MK2 character. He is a complete psycho who will cut your face off, put it between your arm pit, and proceed to munch it like a subway sandwich. Baraka=awesome villain.

Just hope they dont screw his character up by somehow turning him good like they did with my favorite character of any game, Cyrax...it may not seem like they could, but Cyrax was the same way, I wish he would turn bad again, he made a better bad guy

Baraka IMO shouldnt be a henchman character to anyone, I think he needs to be alone or with Mileena...they need to revive some of the old 'teams'...Baraka/Mileena, Cyrax/Sektor (it makes no sense to me how one could be good and the other bad, theyre ketchup and mustard damnit)

instead of those rather awesome teams, In MKDA we wound up with Sonya/Jax (again), Moloch/Drahmin, Hsu Hao/Mavado (Mavado was a great character, but the moves were awful--and I doubt he could beat Kabal)

They could think of something better than that...even with MKDA past now, it still angers me that they would add Li Mei, Frost, Bo Rai Cho, Blaze, and Mokap into a game as pointless characters were as they could of added Baraka, Mileena, Sektor, and a couple others

If by "get his due" you mean "rule the universe", then yes, I should say that Baraka will get his due. He crushes everyone else in Mortal Kombat under his communist bootheel.

His confirmed fatality involves Baraka slicing the opponent in the waist area, then cutting their arms off and then stabbing them in the chest with his blades and pulling the upper torso away from the lower half of their body. Quite a gruesome fatality but awesome!

By the way... speaking of cutting people in half... I really hope Ed and the team make it a bit more realistic in MK:D when someone gets the slice. I hope the opponent's legs collapse after the body gets sliced in half. I hate it when the lower half still stands there and no blood is coming out. Sadly to say, but I think MK4 had the best "lower torso" animation in any MK yet. The lower half didn't just continue standing there. I'd like the see the knees buckle and collapse in these fatalities.
