I know it's been said that every character will appear in Konquest mode in some form. Well, what about the "forgotten" fighters, such as the ones mentioned above? What?! You don't know who Hornbuckle or Torch are? And you call yourself an MK fan. For those who don't know, they were in the PIT arena in MKII and were the "Ermacs" of the second game. You could never fight them or play as them, but they WERE there. Hydro was a Lin Kuei member, like Sub-Zero, who had power over water. I think he only appeared in the comic adatpion. So... since they ARE characters in the MK game universe, will they appear in some fashion in MK:D? Let me know what you think. Fatality.

1) Torch = Blaze. Someone from Midway already stated that.

2) I highly doubt they'll use comic characters in Deception. That would confuse people who have never read the comics.

"Torch" in actuality was Blaze, and yes, he did return, so he wasn't forgotten.

Hydro, if I remember correctly, was the name the younger Sub-Zero used before he took up the Sub-Zero name (atleast in the Malibu comic, which is not canon. However, Hydro was just the younger Sub-zero.)

I do remember something being said in the comics about Sub-Zero and Hydro being twins, but wasn't those events in MK1? I doubt they'll bring someone from that far back, and I don't recall seeing anything about him controlling water, although I also don't recall anything about Hydro being the current Sub-Zero, even if it does make sense.

I'd like to see Hydro playable with powers like the watergod in Mythologies as well as the Hornbuckle mystery be uncovered; I'd also like to see Belokke as well! and maybe even a Kano transformation!!!

Hydro was not Sub-Zero's younger brother. He was another Lin Kuei with the powers of water at his call. He was killed by Scorpion in issue 4 or 5.

There's also the questions of whether Khameleon, Chameleon, Meat, and adventure game characters like No Face, Tremor, and the MK:M bosses and characters appearing in Konquest. Fatality.

I doubt the characters from the comic books will appear. Also I think they'll exclude people from MKSF and MKM because these are not real FIGHTING MK games. As for Meat, I dunno. I wander if Midway recognizes him as an official character. I think that Chameleon and Chameleon should appear since they were characters in the game.

IMO every MK character in history should make an appearance in Konquest. Whether it be in the MK Komics or the single MK Rpg games, every MK character is considered to be part of MK, therefore they should all make an appearance.......that would be totally awesome, just imagine seeing Hydro, Lance, Zaggot, Grum, and others in 3D.

As for Hornbuckle, wasnt that just the last name of some lady that worked at Midway? My friend told me that and said Hornbuckle isnt even considered a character. Some say the character fighting "Torch" in the backround of MK2-Pit is indeed Hornbuckle, but then again others say its just Liu Kang in green pants.

I would like it if they made Hornbuckle into an actual character though, i mean Ermac was a no character at first, and now hes DEAD popular with a massive fanbase. I bet Hornbuckle could turn out to be a great character if he/she/it gets created.

Hornbuckle wasn't Liu Kang, since you could fight as Liu Kang on the PIT. That would mean there were two Liu Kangs.
But I disagree that EVERY MK character EVER should be in MK:D. I mean, do we really need to see all those unnecessary characters from MK:Conquest or Defenders of the Realm? I didn't think so.

Ya but in MK3 Cyrax was in the desert and you could still play as him.

Anyways, the name Hornbuckle comes from a lady that worked at Midway named Leanne Hornbuckle. They used her lastname, i dont know why either lol.

Yeah, and Noob Saibot is taken from Tobias and Boon. Doesn't mean a thing. But, you know, I never really knew about the whole Cyrax in the sand couldn't-really-happen-when-you're-playing-as-Cyrax thing. Maybe it was another LK unit...

I do wish they had stuck with the name torch. That sounds a lot cooler than Blaze, IMO.

But I'm not familiar with the (k)omics, so I would never know the difference. I'm just wondering if the gods from MKmythologies will be in Konquest. THAT is something I would want to see.

Lance and Zaggot?

Characters with names like that don't belong in an MK game. Those are lame ass names. They sound like they belong in a street fighter game.

I don't think you will be seeing any MK comic characters in Konquest, NOR do I think you will be seeing characters from any other game like mythologies as it wasn't a real MK fighting game. I also don't think you will see the likes of Meat, Chameleon or Khameleon. Those aren't REAL characters IMO. It should be pretty easy to understand what I mean by REAL, too. Chameleon and Meat are easy to tell apart from REAL hidden characters like Human Smoke. Human Smoke should be in Konquest, not Meat or Chameleon. I'm not sure about Blaze and Mokap, but I don't think they count as real, either.

When you're the god of Chaos, Zaggot is a very nice name indeed.

Honestly, stop and consider. "Smoke" works as a name, but "Human Smoke"? I think Zaggot wins, just by a hair...
