I guess one does not know the term "comic relief," in which Bo was clearly the comical character as well as Cage... and what is wrong with teaching kids? Are you saying that this is a bad thing seeing how he IS an actual teacher, or is there another reason why teaching kids on how to fight is a bad thing?

well theres comic relief and then theres just plain stupid.

bo rai cho- yeah you know what i think i was better off not knowing who trained lui kang. this guy is just irritating rather than actually capturing that funny old mentor charm

rain- i was like woot rain is back but then i saw his moves and decided to stab myself.

chameleon/khameleon- i guess they were only necessary because the game was more of mk trilogy 2 than an actual sequel but they really served no purpose other than being cool secret characters back in the day

smoke- no weapon, shitty first costume and wtf is up with some of his specials?

dairou and darrus- lots of potential, badly executed

jerek- why does he have armor now, when did mk become lord of the rings? and his specials aren't that great

mavado and hsu hao- just plain shitty all together i hated them in da, mavado was slightly better in mka but doesnt say much. red dragon sucks.

mokap and meat- do they really need a storyline? cant they just be fucking joke characters?

jax and kai- they're nothing like the originals kai doesnt even look like himself.

shujinko- cool guy but where are HIS moves?

kobra- since when did we need to rip off street fighter im glad kira killed him in deception.

taven and daigon- why do we need these douchebags? we have plenty of heroes as is even shujinko was just fine.

sonya- shes gotten pretty ugly since da why does she have a completely different style from then anyway?

ashrah- she was a bit hit and miss i think the should've given more thought on her development in deception

nitara- generic vampire, they really shouldve done alot more with her.

sareena- i was pretty happy to see her, but vert disappointed in how she plays

sheeva- same as above

drahmin- terrible character to begin with.

previous bosses- way too dumbed down, motaro is a joke now, moloch is no threat, neither is the dragon king "what happened to that badass super drop?" shao kahn just isnt shao kahn and goro/kintaro just aren't beast anymore. i wish they would've just had a roll in the story or arcade instead of being playable.

blaze- yeah it was cool to see this guy appear in da, and the ending was pretty mysterious but it should've stayed that way. this "quest" sucked ass and so did he.

there's definitely many sorry characters I've never been able to stand so I'm not going to even mention them. but of the characters that i used to love and now hate:

Noob who's no longer called "Noob Saibot" for some reason, had horrible costumes.. I mean, what the hell was he wearing on his arms?? Naww man just give me the noob from MK4 and I'll be happy.. and throwing stars?? Noob doesn't need throwing stars! ? Give him his shadow throw and other moves from MKT and a long black cloak and white hood as his alternate.. and PLEASE don't give him the monkey style or whatever he had.. Noob's supposed to be smooth and intimidating, not jumping around...

Smoke who just looks like a bitch.. his "smoke" form never needs to appear again.. and give him decent looking armor in his robotic form.. please a little less feminine

Scorpion was alright but I wasn't digging his armor look he had for his alternate.. bring back the flaming skull

Stryker:his moveset was ok, but they should have brought back his tazer instead of a machine gun.

The Shokan's: They have lost some of their...coolness. i remember back in '99 first seeing Goro/Kintaro and thinking *Oh S#!7*, but now it's more like <sarcasm>oh no, what will i do</sarcasm>

Motaro:...do i really need to explain

noob-to start off the MK team got stupid naming him Noob why would someone want to play as a character called Noob and the stars as Saibot-Zero said why do you need stars and they are to powerful 5 hits and you are Dead!

Stryker great in MK3 not in MKA
Reptile got messed up Completley outfit and moves
Baraka got down graded from MKD to MKA i can't beat anyone and i'm the best with him in MKD

Are you serious? His armor costume has to have been the best development. At least it matched him I'm tired of seeing the same ninja costumes from past games, only to have them edited slightly in MK4. That's why I also like Kitana, Jade (definitely), Sub Zero, Mileena and Ermac because between MKDA and MKD, their appearance differs between each other compared to MK1-MKT, which is just slight color change, and different moves . The only one I didn't like was Rain's, basically because I don't like the character overall. Reptile's was a little bizarre, but his appearance changes EVERY game.

Worst characters that returned?

Sheeva-I like Sheeva, and I was very satisfied of her returning, but she is a very slow character in gameplay.

Mokap-He didn't need to return at all. I understand if he was a joke character, but now he's included into the storyline. Why?

Jarek-I hated Jarek since MK4. I honestly did, and I still do. He has such a rotten bastard personality, and feels he can kill anyone. He didn't even need a return. Although Kai returned as well, I like him a lot more than Jarek.

Boss characters-The bosses have been given a very big change:
Motaro-Two legs. I guess it was hard to do four legs in 3d, which is understandable.
Goro-Goro is awfully short compared to the other ones. Even his head is small. What happened to him after MK1, or maybe MK4?
