I think that the Endurance matches presented more of a challenge as you neared the final bosses of the game..I way to REALLY prove your worth, before getting the chance to destroy the Big Bads fo the game.
Maybe they could even up the stakes a bit by having you face BOTH opponents at the same time? This would be most challenging, no doubt. But with the added death traps it would be easier to even the playing field and tip the scales in your favor. I really want to see this reintroduced into MK. If not in MKD than surely in MK7!
How do you guys feel about this?

ya i liked the endurance matches as well tomtaz! But what I really would like to have is a team battle mode like tekken and MK4 had.... .like you can pick up to 8 people for a team and go against another 8.... or you can handicap yourself or the computer and make it like 3 on 8 or something like that.
Also I liked tag matches as well. But ya, these plus endurance matches are always fun and only add more to the content.

Yes, I agree, Team battles were always fun. I wouldn't mind them at all. Tag? Hmmm...I never considered Tag for MK before. However, the idea does seem appealing.

I still like playing the endurance matches when I play MK1 and MKT. It really is difficult at times, and can be VERY close, making the matches a lot of fun. I'm sure you guys have been in danger, you're on the last opponent of the endurance and they're have a lot of health. Somehow you pull out a string of sick moves and you win by the skin of your teeth.
You get really excited when you beat 3 or 4 enemies, and that gets you pumped up for the bosses.
So yes I'd definitely like to see them back, they add a lot of excitement and difficulty before you fight the sub-boss and boss. I think it may even prepare you a little better to fight the bosses, cus the difficulty of the endurance usualy gets you on your 'A' game. I can see many advantages if they return...

Precisely! This is exactly what I was getting at. The difficulty of the Endurance matches made the time before facing the bosses unpredictable, and if you defeated them, you were pumped to face the bosses. And so much the better if they made you fight BOTH at the same time in MKD or MK7.
| Bezou Wrote: Bring them back, but make them a game mode, not part of the climb to the Dragon King. Hate endurance matches, especially in MKT. |
A separate mode? Hmmm...That could work too I suppose. I'd just be happy to have them, anyway I can get them.

I would love it if the Endurance Matches returned.
However, i agree on what Bezou said. IMO it would be better off as a seperate mode.
But i've came across an idea that i think would make a future MK game somewhat harder. Perhaps as you get closer to the DK, the last remaining 2 fighters would have great Handicap on. Meaning, your attacks and such dont take off as much as they normally do on the other characters. This IMO would make the matches longer and harder.

Is better late than never!!!

I would like to see them back. It would be one hell of a good time. With 2 fightings styles and 1 weapon kombat seen in MK: DA moved on and expanded in MK: Deception, it would be a great thing.

They havn't mentioned it for MK:D, but then again they didn't seem to mention every single aspect either.
I hope for MK:D or MK7's sake, endurance returns.

I say bring em back. Itd be cool if they had some kinda story driven Endurance matches. Lets say you were Jade, youd have to fight Mileena and Tanya or if your Mileena you fight Kitana and Sindel.

That would be awesome, TT!
Just a thought: How about online endurance matches? 16 players. 2 start. When one loses completly then another moves in and continues until there's only one left standing. Not a bad way to earn braggin rights if u ask me.

great idea taz. though the regular endurances is something we have already had so i would prefer to see a 2v1 at the same time.
having quan and shang not already confirmed would be a perfect opportunity for these two to provide the endurance 2v1 before the subboss - give us the fight that the end of mkda should have given us!!!
and if shang and quan are not unlockable or playable perhaps it will be easier to factor in extra moves and tag team moves aganist you to show us that the two sorcerers are actually a deadly alliance and not just a pushover like the boss rounsd from mkda.
from mkda we see that the DA work together - they beat liu kang 2v1 and they beat kahn 2v1 so why not fight them 2v1 and make it feel like an achievement to progress to the next round - succeed where warriors such as kang and kahn failed.

Endurances would be great to have back. With all the new features and the styles in MK they'd be a lot more fun than they were and the outcome would be very unpredictable now because of death traps and the tiered stages.
Bezou mentioned it being a seperate mode which vould be fun. And also Ko-jah mentioned the Deadly Alliance providing the endurance match which would be perfect for arcade. Maybe two could be put in. The Deadly Alliance Endurance and then a random character Endurance like before.
Nice idea, Tazzer!

The endurance mode is an essential part of a fighting game. Of course it should be in future MK's, but like Bezou said as a seperate mode from the Arcade mode.
