did anyone really not notice the poor grammar in the topic title?
Im not sure.
I love many of the X-Men characters (Storm would have been amazing! Same with Cyclops and Gambit!), and for some reason, Marvel seems to suit MK soooo much more then DC.
BUT, I just remembered we have Posin Ivy, she rocks!
Wonder Woman VS Sonya VS Poison Ivy!
But Superman??? Batman???....Oh well, I hope they work well.

How is there so many people who prefer DC to Marvel, Batman's the only good thing in the DC universe...
Who else they going to have in this game, lame ass Flash and Aquaman in his florescent orange and green speedos?
Actually I'd prefer a Marvel versus DC game, much easier to work with, they've got so many interchangeable rip-offs between the two of them.
Sentry vs Superman etcetera.
But I got to agree, why a versus game in the first place?

Why is Flash lame? Especially kid flash, much more of a badass then quicksilver and faster too
Aquaman gets way too much hate, but I don't see him in this game honestly
Batman isn't the only cool dude in DC's universe, there's many heroes and villians that are awesome.
The thing that I find honestly a bit shocking and amazing is that if it were MK vs. SF or say a DC vs. Marvel nobody would be bitching, but since it's MK vs. DC...people hate it?
MVC2 although broken, somewhat fun (like MKA) ha. and has some weird matches ups like Hulk vs. Ken or Zangief vs. Venom? okey then lol
This can work

Marvel IMO would work better because their comics always seemed much darker then DC's.
I admit, I am currently enjoying Simon Dark, but I highly doubt he'd make it.
Now don't get me wrong, I never said I was enamoured with Quicksilver either, he might even look sillier. Speed based heroes have never really pulled me in.
Aquaman is visually horrendous imo, maybe his story makes up for that... Namor seems sleeker and more naturally suited in the water, plus I liked his mini-series from a few months back, the man is cold as ice.
I wouldn't be praising a Marvel versus Streetfighter either, although, I would highly anticipate a Marvel versus DC, which imo is overdue.
They've touched upon it many times in the comics, you could recreate classic matchups and make them turn out the way you wanted.
It be fantastic, and I'd be able to put up with DC characters so long as I got to kick their asses with Marvel ones.

I would have prefered Mortal Kombat 8 to this crossover bs. But since this is what we're stuck with, I'll toss my 2 cents into the ring on who should be in it.
From Mortal Kombat:
Mokap
Meat
Johnny Cage
Stryker
From DC universe:
Jimmy Olsen
Commissioner Gordon
Alfred
Krypto the Superdog
Those would be some tight match-ups right there. If it were Marvel:
Professor Xavier
Lyla Cheney
The Rawhide Kid
Franklin Richards
Aunt May
You know, all the really popular characters. :D

Yeah,I think the whole MK vs. SF is one rumor that will never happen but would be nice and the same for DC vs. Marvel...
I think DC vs. Marvel actually has a higher chance since they did have the comic crossover...
Aquaman, I like his story and overall character way more then Namor personally but think he could use a "revamp" lookwise
@wavemotion, I don't know about that man. DC has some dark stories too, with Superman fights, Batman especially is wayyy dark. IMO darker then anything Marvel has and the Vertigo series just blows both Marvel and the normal DC comics away in terms of darkness(if you know that series)

I'd prefer NO crossover with MK at all. Crossover games are a dime a dozen and have no imagination whatsoever behind them. Save that shit for the comic books.
Unlike Street Fighter, MK could pride themselves on being above that until one April 18, 2008, when its soul was sold out by Boon & Co. in the name of making a quick buck. The darkest day in franchise history, indeed.

I'd like to think most people's problem here is that they're wasting the opportunity to step forward, so any pairing would be frowned upon.
That said, I think it's fair to say Marvel do make more sense.
I imagine they'd still be reluctant to indulge in wanton violence, but they have a substantially stronger representation of characters from hell and a vaguely MK-esque darkside.
You could pair it down to a Midnight Sons crossover and it would probably make a fair amount of sense. Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Morbius, Frank Drake, Blade, Hellstrom, Blackheart, Mephisto... There are a lot more specific themes common between Marvel and MK, than with DC.
There's also the fact that MK has always had a strong undertone of influence from [Marvel] comics; a key of the John Tobias legacy.

I could see Tekken making the compromise with a fair handful of it's characters, but if they didn't want to, I'm sure it would be a similar scenario.
MK aren't exactly the most respected franchise in the business. A lot of groups outside the MK fanbase haven't got a lot of time for what boils down to a trixy series built on gimmicks. They were almost always going to be on the bottom of the deal, unless it was something like Killer Instinct, or some other American series/knock-off.

Answering the question the original poster presented, rather than making up my own question like most other folks in this thread...
Yes. I would have. I'm a huge X-Men fan, and I greatly prefer Marvel Characters/Comics over DC Characters/Comics in general... So that would have at least softened the blow a touch.
However, as others have said, my ultimate preferance would have been for no lame crossover at all.
