About Me
The future seemed so bright.
But this thing turned out so evil,
I don’t know why I’m still surprised.
Even angels have their wicked schemes,
And you take that to new extremes.
But you’ll always be my hero,
Even though you lost your mind...

That's a no for both..
Next up are Jarek and Baraka.
Jarek is a no. There is Kobra, Kira and Jarek out of all the Black Dragon thugs (Kano is kinda more useful person, but only slightly) Jarek is the worst out of the lot imo. So yeh, a big no.
Baraka is another kinda useless minion kinda character. I mean really, they want to keep the characters returning at a minimum, and if his whole purpose pretty much is "do what leader says" he can die cause a new character can come back and do that too.

For me, yes and no.
Jarek appeared only in two games (three if we count MK Gold) so it'd be nice to see a little backstory of him and such, and Baraka is a cool character of the MK series, but he is always manipulated by a stronger willed character (Shao Kahn, Onaga and Mileena), so I'd prefer him gone.

The only time I loved Baraka was in Mk2. In that game he ruled big time. I think what they did in mkd was useless so I see no point in him returning. EVER! (no)
Jarek is one example of character development, if there is any because he is just Kano with a new look. So another No!
But I don't get why people here said YES to more than 10 fighters because if mk8 were to be a good game, the number of old characters returning would be 7 or 8, max. I don't want it to be a better looking mk with the same old fighters and 5 new... 8 old and 12 new would be just right! sorry for the offtopic!

Wrong. If you've seen the second disc on the premium edition of MK:A, you would know he WOULD have died by Jax, had MK:A not been about having every character. Since this is the case, Hsu Hao lived, at least, until the conclusion of Armageddon.

Jarek: Nein. Too generic for my tastes.
Baraka: Nyet. No more mindless brutes.

MKA was another Trilogy. There's nothing Canon from MKA at this time. He was only in because ED wanted to add all characters in MKA. Hao was officaly killed by Jaxx in MKDA.

MKA was not really another Trilogy, it was it's own game (MK7). If it was, Daegon and Taven would of been playable characters in MKD.
You cannot go by the endings as being canon. So, I'm saying that Hsu Hao didn't actually die in MKDA. If you think so, then wouldn't Noob-Smoke's MKD ending be canon also? Sub-Zero would be dead!

Not all characters endings are canon. Notice in MKDA he has pupils in his eyes. In MKA his eyes are red, and his heart implant isn't spinning anymore. So either he was re-animated from the dead by Shao Kahn, or Whoever. OR he's just dead. Also, When i say MKA was another Trilogy. I use that sentence loosely. Basically saying it brought about just about everyone in the MK universe, as MKT did back in the 90's.
BTW, Reptiles MKDA ending is canon. Which is why Onaga was in MKD.

Jarek: I hate. He's a dick. I can't believe the MK team wrote him a MK:A bio rather than so many others who deserved/needed one. So that's a big NO for me.
Baraka: As much as I would like to see Baraka die a slow and painful death for his betrayal of Shao Kahn, I think that he should leave to make way for some cooler new characters. So Baraka also gets a NO from me.
