Would you still want Sektor or Cyrax in game if they were no longer Cyborgs?

I figured their main appeal in this game was their novelty as machines. Keep in mind, I say this meaning that they would be COMPLETELY human. No half-&-half bullshit(although it's still cool, but that's not the point). I would really like to see Sektor with an original look and fighting style, and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before we see him in a human version. And please don't say it can't be done, because anything is possible in a fiction setting. I don't see how making a cyborg human is any more difficult than bringing Cage back from the dead.

Also, I exempted Smoke from the list because I already know that a very large part of the fan-base wants him back as a human. Personally, I'd like to see him return as human who's a high authority in Subzero's New, more positive, Lin Kuei. They were allies & close friends, after all.

So... thoughts?

I'd like to see Smoke half human, half machine actually, and I would also like him to be back in the Lin Kuei.

On topic, I believe that Cyrax has more potential for a human form, seeing as he willingly got his soul back in MKG, while Sektor has now created a new clan for loyal machines only, so he should stay as a soul-less killing machine.

I also think Smoke could be cool as both half and half, but just not my preference. Also, the odds are he wouldn't have hair or a ninja mask, and that would make him look a bit goofy.

But Sektor is a different story. I mean, he can still be a passive and cold murder. But which is more evil: A souless cold robot killing out of pure orders, or a man with free will who shows no emotion whatsoever and kills out of choice.

I like them as machines. I wouldn't wanna see them any other way. As for Smoke being human I didn't know his human form was popular. He was just a copy of Scorpion.

Well, I wouldn't want anyone in the game unless they had unique appearance and gameplay. Smoke has a lot of potential. To be honest, I think he and Ermac are some of the few ninjas that would be still really cool as being something other than a ninja.

I better stop replying to my own thread, now. I'll check back later.
I think human Sektor would be interesting. I wonder what would be his powers besides the teleport since he won't be able to throw rockets (maybe he would, the MK universe is crazy). Human Cyrax would be OK, but what would be his human powers besides the net and teleport? I would like to see human Sektor than human Cyrax.

Peace.

Oh I agree with that... they shouldn't all be identical, but I wouldn't wanna see a human Sektor. It just doesn't seem right. For the record I thought Cyrax's second outfit in DA made him look goofy.

seeing that sektor is a leader in his own clan, wouldn't be logical to "upgrade" him so that he could be seen as the leader of the clan. it would be mad if they made him look like some mech-samurai with one of those japanese masks, so that he could "rid himself" from his lin kuei roots.

Well, if you want sector as a human real bad, maybe it should be that way in his alternate costume.

You are also correct and right on target about smoke. He really should be seen as one of the wise men(robot) in the lin kuil, backing up Lin Kuil operations, while letting the more skilled sub-zero do most of the actual fighting.

I would like to see sektor as a cyborg. HIs suit would need an upgrade but nothing over the top or stupid. Nothing really large or bulky.

I think that Cyrax has a reason to become human again for the spec ops but that would hinder his abilities in combat IMO.

Anyway Sektor could easily get his soul back. Depending on how his story will run the dragon kingo could give him his soul back in return for his help against earths forces.

i wanna see the missions before that made sektor, cyrax, and smoke the elite ninja assasins chosen to become cyborgs. like mk myth: sub-zero, because what he had to do in that game showed he was bad as fuck

They weren't chosen to become cyborgs. All the Ninja's in the Lin Kuei were automated. They even wanted to turn Sub-Zero into a cyborg but he was able to escape.

Sektor and Cyrax volunteered and were called prototypes in MK3, which means that they were used to simply "test the waters" of cybernetics. I don't think that the Lin Kuei had a chance to automate all of their warriors, seeing as Shao Kahn stole all of their souls except for the robots and Sub-Zero in MK3 and since in MKG they were still looking for Sub-Zero, so I think they focused on upgrading their current machines rather than make more failures (Cyrax malfunctioned in the desert).

Whoa whoa back up here...when did Sektor become the leader of his own clan? I've seen this mentioned several times by many people, and I honestly don't know where the hell it came from. Where in the story does it say Sektor starts his own clan?
Edit: Never mind, just found a thread that explains that.
As for the question, I think Cyrax and Sektor should stay robots. IMO, for a character to go through a change like that, he would have to keep his signature moves so people still know who he is, but if they became human I don't see how they could keep their signature moves and have it make sense. Smoke makes more sense as a human, since he already WAS human in MK2. And since he would probably be recognizable he could be given new unique moves.

I think if Cyrax and Sektor were in the game, that they should still be machines. I think it's pretty stupid that they made Cyrax a good guy. As I recall, he and Sektor both volunteered to be automated.

Smoke should definitely come back but have NO moves similar to Scorpion's. What a waste of a character to make him look and fight just like another. I think he should be the way Cyrax is now, a cyborg with a human soul. And yes, he should be in the Lin Kuei with Sub Zero.

I think both Nicodemus and Jerrod are close on the mark here, but I was under the impression the Lin Kuei was disabandoned after the third tournament, so how could they still be after Sub? Then again, I never bought MK Gold. Also, I don't think the Clan was victim to Kahn's Annihilation. I always thought they kinda "slipped through the cracks". But I'm just speculating, I have nothing to back this up. tongue

Anyway, thanks for all the responses. More are always welcomed. But I noticed another tidbit in the replies which sorta bewilders me, but I'll make a thread about that when this one dries out. Keep 'em coming.

I think they really were not after Sub its just that Cyrax and Sektor, probably others were still out there and may not have been re-programed.

You're right born-again-vampire, they weren't after Sub-Zero in MKG (I just finished reading their bios in the Kombat Pavillion), but it says in Sektor's bio that the number of Lin Kuei warriors has drastically decreased, and in Sub-Zero's bio it says that the Lin Kuei has basically disbanded, so I think that the main reason that more warriors weren't automated was because there simply weren't enough to automate after all of the Earth's souls were returned. Maybe some were killed by the extermination squads? Maybe some decided to leave the Lin Kuei while everyone was focused on killing Sub-Zero?

I think they are all better as machines.

Sektor, a full machine. Cyrax, a half human/half robot thing, and Smoke well, he isn’t my fave here, he is the worst of the 3 robots IMO.
