like scorpion and sub-zero you could change their fighting styles two whatever fighting styles you want or anyother character. becuase i know that last year when mk:da came out i liked some other characters fighting styles but i didn't like the character. and i always thought that it would be cool if i could take there fighting style and give it to the character i like. they should do this in mk:deception.tell me what you think.
how could u like there fighting styles and not like them. doesnt make any sense. that was a very stupid ummm waste of forum space.
if you wanan mix and match fighting styles put them on your konquest fighter. i like shang tsungs fighting style but not him? doesnt make sense. its stupid and should never happen. otherwise, everybody can be the same if i put the same fighting styles. EDIT features in MK:D NEVER.
unless on konquest fighter then thats acceptable.

i don't see how its stupid! if your trying to say that the only reason you like the character is becuase of his or hers fighting style thats is bs and it a lie. many people probably didnt like shang tsung but they like his crane style the. what am saying is that some characters i don't like their design but i like there fighting style and it would be nice to mix and match them with the characters you like. but i think it would be cool but thats just my opinion. and if you don't like it i guess thats your opinion.

Different strokes for different folks.
I personally would want this option in the game.
It's actually a very simple concept to understand.
Here's an example:
* I always liked Scorpion pre-MK:DA, but I did not like the fighting styles that were given to him by default, so in essence I like the character, but don't like using him. If I was able to give him 2 styles that I actually found appealing... I would then have the freedom to like Scorpion again.
It would of course only be an option, so no one would be FORCED to use it.

Nicely put. I wouldnt mind having an option like this. And BTW, this topic is alot better than most of the krap on this forum. So good thinking sub-zero360.
You can choose fighting styles for the monk from Konquest. I doubt this option will be available for the other characters, because there will be absolutely no balance. Everyone will arm their favorite character with three powerful weapons and the balance will go to hell.
It's gonna ruin the game, especially in multiplayer... online, I mean.

That wouldn't be a good idea at all. No character would be unique with something like that.

well it wont allow you to select 3 weapons for for every character that would suck but 2 fighting styles only and the characters original weapon stays with him. and it would also be nice if each character had two weapons that you could select with you know like in soul calibur 2 where they could get different versions of there weapon. some stronger some lighter some longer like that tell me what you think.
I agree that the idea is good. As everyone here seems to have different opinions on what style should be with whom, if you could select it by yourself, it would be awesome. As for online play they should have somekind of rule or program that every character has to have their default styles(exept the custom monk of course).
For me it(able to chooce styles) would suit more than nicely as i have the same "problem" of liking some characters outfits, designs and stories but not their fighting styles, because in my opinion the style that was given to the character in DA did not suit to him/her or to their story, backround etc...(almost the same as giving sumo to scorpion or some other stupid sh!t like that...)

I am really failing to understand why anyone would think this is a bad idea.
Look at this way:
* Imagine if you could pick any 2 fighting styles, BUT you could not change your weapon style.
* Combine this with the fact that your character would always have their signature Special Moves (6 of them), and there would be plenty that would make them extremely unique unto themselves.
* I see this as being great for replay value as you would not know what to fully expect when fighting any given character... especially online.
* Possibly have two seperate servers for people who want "Default" fighters and another for people who want "Custom" fighters.
* The option would just be in the options menu for single player though.
So to the people that don't like this idea...
You would never have to create/customize/utilize this feature, so the harm in it being in the game would be NON-EXISTANT for you.
