Wouldnt it be nice to be able to play Deception in an arcade
Wouldnt it be nice to be able to play Deception in an arcade. The arcade mortal kombat used to be so tight, I remember playing against people it was tight showing off my skills to other players and watching other people play

haha......yeah.. i must admit at time i do feel fairly nestalgic(spelling) for the arcade glory days.....but sadly..consoles rule the world so.... i guess the one up thought is that you don't have to continually pump money into your console for a continue..hahaha

I'd rather not. The nearest mall to me is like 40 minutes away. Plut not many people go to arcades now and days at least here in GA. Also I rather buy a game at $52/$62 and play it at home and play it online with others for free and also not be limited by location to play anyone I want. Don't get me wrong arcades were fun back in its day, but it seems like consoles just have too many reasons not to go to the aracades. Mainly because consoles just as powerful or more powerfull than arcade units.

It would be fun to play in the arcades, but all I will spend on this game is $59.99 (for the Kollectors Edition). If Deception was in the arcade I would spend thousands of dollars in quarters like I did back in 1992-1993 with MKII. Online play for me will compensate my eagerness to play against a live opponent like the old days in the arcades.
I had a blast playing MK, MKII and MK3 in the arcades. Back then it was only a quarter a play and on MKII I could make a quarter last a long time. Now it's $2, all the difficulties are hot-shotted to maximum, nobody wants to play against you and it's just not as fun. So I'm glad it's just on home consoles. The online features will help bring back some of the arcade joy, plus the bonus that you won't get your real-life ass kicked when you school some guy 2 feet taller than you.
I played MK4 for the first time in the arcade today. Sure, it was still MK4, but it was a nice piece of nostalgia, and only for 50 cents. Not too bad.
That said, an arcade version of a MKDA or MKD era game would absolutely rule. Take that Tekken and all of your fanboys!

Wow you guys have some expensive arcades! Here in Mission Hills, CA.( a suburb of Los Angeles) at Family Funtime arcade almost every major game is 25 cents.

Shit yeah. I miss those days. Unfortunately, the arcade days died years ago and honestly, I'm so used to playing consoles now, I'd feel lost in an arcade again.

Holy hell! You need to pay 2 bucks for a round of MK2 or 3? That's ridiculus. Where I'm from the new arcade games start out at 50cent and drop to 25 after the game has been out for a while. They sure as hell don't go up!
