Wow thats great news. I hope to find more how each console of MK6 will be different and if this will affect the realease date of the 3 console versions from one another.

hey thats news to me! But don't get pissed if the game doesn't get out exactly in october.

I would much rather wait for the game to be it's best than have another rushed MK like DA.

Id be pissed if it came out in October. Won't be complete I bet. 2005 will be the year for MK6.

I don't get why people wan't the game to come out in 2005... I think it will be released this year. They have already been working on the game for a year and 3 months, (since MKDA's release)... they work very hard, there's a lot of people on the team, and if you've seen the making of mk video in mkda, you'll see that their job isn't your average 9am-5pm job, they work from 6:30am till around 9pm, maybe sometimes even more... Plus on top of all that, they're experienced enough with 3D to complete the game faster. I think releasing the game in October of this year makes perfect sense. There's no reason it should be delayed.

They are hoping to get it out before Christmas next year but I agree it will not be complete. Although some really good games were not complete- look at SotN

It's coming out in October, I highly doubt that, im sure that it will be delayed until next year, hopefully. Cause if it comes out in October, I doubt that it will be complete.

Perhaps a character or two, and THESE characters will be incomplete for sure, as has been the case before.

Besides, I think the MK team can see what went on in MK5's so called "incompletions" and go from there.

well ages ago i read (last year) that the game was 20% complete already so it might be released earlier then october, im expecting news on characters or atleaest something very very soon

Yes how are we to know, it is possible that this game was already in production when DA was released. They are not remaking the game engine this time so things could go faster than before. Also I think that the "tough" part this time will be getting the multiplayer to work not so much the programming of characters, moves, fatalities ...

Hey, I just read in a magazine that Duke Nukem Forever was about to be released in 1998! Wow, how did I manage to miss that game?

But seriously, don't trust release dates. Ever. When have they ever been reliable? Especially this far from the release, and the supposed date. If anything, this probably means that the game will come out some time Q4 2004, possibly later.

EB games also has that release date, i read it at mkrevolution.

Aren't we forgetting the 'original' release date of MKDA? At first it was set to be released by the end of 2001... righto.
How many times was the date changed? About three, if I remember correctly.

I have a feeling that the online part of MK6 will be only for PS2 I hope im wrong though.Alot of people would be missing out on the downloads and things like that.It would be good for MK6 to have online play on all the current consoles.Take a look at EA sports there hated by alot of people.

Sony is releasing a HDD for PS2, voila downloadable content.
But I don't see why this fall (October) wouldn't be a nice release date? MK: DA came out in November of 2002, so they will've had almost two years to work on the game. I thnk it won't be a rushjob this time.

BTW, i feel that mk6 WILL be complete, due to the facts of boon and co. learning a lesson from mk:da, and the new management's vision of "quality over quantity".

It'll be on xbox live I'd wager. IMO there isn't any point in giving online capability to one console and snubbing the others it's for one a foolish bussiness practice.

I don't really care when it comes out as long as it's done and complete. And not so damn broken.
