the UK MK:D site.
If you go to features, one of the features listed is:
"* Featuring Over 24 Characters Including New Fighters and Old Favourites"
OVER 24. I know some of you might say, "well, you fight against more than the 24 main characters in Konquest," ...
but feature = A prominent or distinctive aspect, quality, or characteristic.
And when you fight against the non-24 main characters in Konquest, it's barely anything to gawk at.
I just find it odd that they say there are "over 24 characters." I know a lot of you still believe that there are super unlockables, and I hope that there are. This gives us even more reason. The fight night answers were crap, and didn't sate anyone's questions. I'm not saying that this means that there are super unlockables, but for those of you who have hope, this just adds to it. edit: those of you who read the comments to that article on the front page already know this, but much like most forums, I doubt all of you even read the front page.

(Noob-Smoke = 2)
So that means there are 25 fighters + The Dragon King = 26
26 fighters = more than 24 fighters...

Your definition of feature is true and using that definition I find 26 characters, not including puzzle fighters, who are distinct within MK:D. They are the 25, 24 selections and Smoke, playable characters in arcade and Onaga. These are the featured characters IMO because the announcer says their names when they win rounds. The characters in Konquest ATM just seem to be filler since none of their names are are announced upon a victory.

When you're talking about sale points things are rarly exactly what they sound like. Things get worded in ways that make them sound better than the strict truth does. Sort of like if someone tells you he is a Floor Tech, but the truth is all that really means is he sweeps floors for a living.
"Lying with the truth" is the art form of sales and buisness.

About Me

Really puts things into perspective, when a teenager pop singer turns out to be the re-incarnation of a german warlord.

I can remember buying mortal kombat deadly alliance for gameboy advance, on the back of the packet it shows the select screen from the console version, which has about five more characters than the handheld version.
