Hey guys! My wife was really excited about the fact that I finaly made my own website. I created the entire site using Flash with ActionScript 3.0 to control the functions and buttons. Thanks to my site, I just landed a really high paying job! My family and I can rest easy knowing that struggling check to check will be a thing of the past.

On another note, I can finally afford to take my wife and kid out for a good time, whenever I want! As a testament to the power of sheer determination and will, I made this opportunity possible. There were naysayers who said I would never accomplish what I set out to do. There were others who said that I needed a back-up plan because they did not think that I was capable of obtaining a Web Developer position.

I proved them all wrong

If any of you were wondering why I haven't been playing online, well, this was the reason. I figured that I would sacrifice all things "fun" now in order for me to live the life I've always wanted to live.

In closing, I would like to say this:

Never let anyone tell you that you cannot do something


Hard work and study will always pay off in the end. Stay in school/college and get your degrees. Live your lives the way you've always dreamed of. My new life starts now.

People talk about luck all the time. I personally don't believe in luck and even if it does exist, I believe you have to drive to it. It wouldn't come your way while you remain static. Like you said, life is exactly what you make it and if you fail to make something of it then one you only have yourself to blame.

Up until the late last year, I spent the past 3 years prior to that playing MKA and MKD online at least 5 times a week. While I had an ok job and a career, I always felt I could do more. so I rang up some changes and one of the sacrifices I had to make was to stop playing so much computer games and divert that time into learning new skills to enhance my way of life. It has now only been 7 months in my balanced new way of life and I can honestly say that I sometimes literally feel like I could fly. Even though it hasn't come easy it is definitely worth it. My journey has brought me back to Canada after spending years in Europe and almost getting lost out there.

It does take a heck of hard work to get to where one wants to be but it is definitely possible when you approach your goals with a single mindset with your priorities set. It is never too late or too early to start this journey but the power lies in gaining substantial knowledge through studying what you love and building a portfolio through blogs or personal website or anything that works within your specified industry.
