We always have close battles. He had beaten me badly with Tanya a few times, though, before I caught on. So, all time series he probably leads me. Last time I played (which was like one or two months ago), he beat me.

How do you guys play MKA? Do you just specialize in a particular character and perfect it or do you have set of characters i.e. Dave - Dairou and Dan - Tanya.

I once watched Videos of Check (Scorp) v Versa (Sareena) which were awesome battles but I couldn't help crave for more characters. It would have been awesome to see how both of them reapply their dynamics across the spectrum character tier list in MKA.

overall i would say he has the slight edge. its kinda an unfair question because i was Tanya and he was Dairou alot. thats a mismatch fight in MKA. even when dave adjusted time after time after time i readjusted w/ Tanya.


his Sareena destroyed my ass time and time again. i wish i had known about Mavado being my best character back then as i would of picked him vs Sareena instead of Tanya and Mileena. His Sareena F,F+1 wasnt safe vs me so i was able to punish it, unlike others i have faced.




Dave ~ the smartest player i have ever faced in MKD and MKA. adjusts better then Vers, Thug and check.

I seriously beg to differ. Check and I don't get along sometimes and argue who has the lag advantage but he is the best player. Period. His MK:A knowedge exceeds everybody's.

Online limits you and prevents you from what you can really do. I'm sure Jason would dominate all of us off-line (at least until we adapt).

Versa is then a close second. Some may disagree but I'd put Dan as No. 3.

Dan, you've handled my Sareena quit well back then, and I tried boring the shit out of you as well. My f,f+1 being un-safe is how it should be, and yet it should be even less safe than that.

im sure offline 4 of the 5 ill be able to beat cause ill not be so dumb to try a mid on a standing foe because ill be able to actually see them standing.

for damn sure Check would be the best offline, dude can do combos w/ ease like no other.

^^^whiffblocking ftw!!!! i remember the one i did in pi gua vs mi zong, lol. just parry cancel as soon as you recover. you dont remember how to jutsu? its the same way as parry canceling: back block down, and HOLD BLOCK asap after you let go of it, for some reason when we play i keep forgetting to hold block after i pc.

if you hold blockas you are ducking, YOU WILL BLOCK MID, shit is too good.

Check would probably rock us offline. I haven't touched the game offline outside of unlocking things. I would be surprised if 90% of the combos I see in his video are practical to pull off in a real fight though.

Online, I don't see how I'm not number 1. I've beaten everyone I've fought more than they've beaten me. How that doesn't qualify as being the best player is beyond me, especially when the only person who took me to the limit(besides dave) never even played online in it's prime. Check missed an entire wave of players who were among the best when the game was being played.

Not trying to start any beef, but I'm just stating how I feel about that.

that has been what ive been telling you for the longest time, i dont waste my time playing anything but people who are as good as me. you did, for some reason you think that matters.

and again, every person i played lagged for me, so thats my biggest reason, too many people wanted the limelight as soon as they hear that im the best, but fail to understand that point as well.

when it comes to skill, i would be number 1 in that department

and for the record, i can pull anything off in those videos at will. ( 90% of it actually ) as long as its not controller specific or character specific. take my 80% sub combo offline i can do 100% of the time on any character vs your 35% is it? and see who wins

I was just thinking the exact same thing while reading Versa's post.

MK:A lags so badly you can barely even combo for God's sake, and then I hear people talking shit how I'm just exaggerating to make myself look good. I don't want to deal with anybody's lag online and I'm sure nobody wants to deal with mine. That's the reason I quit MK:A. I'll quit Tekken, too, without any hesitation if it lags like MK:A online. The so-called best character online isn't even a top character off-line... that's how fucked up the lag is.

Best online in MK:A means nothing. Someone should get Phat-Hoe to play this. I know for a fact she'll beat all of us.

I respect the points of view, but I feel what I'm saying has merit. Just because online sucks and game is altered by lag doesn't mean there can't be a best player online..

I'm not saying you wouldn't do it to everyone else, Check, but the fact of the matter is I did and you did not. For all I know certain people could counter your style whether it be because of lag or their way of play.

For example, in my eyes Dave is superior player to Dan, and Dave gives me much better fights, but Dan beat him in MKA. If I recall correctly, Dan beat you too, no? As well as Bone? Both of those players to me aren't top notch.

So who's to say Riu,Quik,Jade-Own,BOSTON(most underrated player of all time),K-rob,Drumz,Noobe,G-roy couldn't take you out?

If you can pull those combos off in a real fight that's very impressive. If there was a scene offline and people cared about the game I'm sure many of us would be able to pull them off too if it were plausible. I've never tried.

but yo, to each his own. Gotta admit, I could of cared less about MKA for the past 5 months, but reading that def made me come out and voice my opinion. Next thing you know I'll be back on the server playing yall.

imo i was always underrated, gan0n was considered for tko? i had helped him get were he was before he got arrogant on me, now hes nothing. sz2 - i always faired 10 - 9 with him. but nobody new bone.... nobody thought i would actually get good.

this isn't just random but ive been thinking about it .

Yea online I think OTGs aren't that hard to perform (granted some can be tough depending on if they have Cyclone or whatever and based on the popup), definitley easier than ACs, and sometimes I think they're easier than normal juggles even. You should always do em after any popup when given the chance if your character doesn't have easy damage.

Noobe ~ he and i went back and forth in wins at the start of MKA.

Krob ~ lost badly vs me when we played.

Quik ~ we had 2 series, i lost badly the 1st 1 and the 2nd i got dumb and lost 10-9. we never played again. on top of that i still wasnt doing any big combos at the time, same as vs you vers i wasnt doing much combos. just simple 25% combos. i do easy 57% combos w/ Kitana now just to name 1.

Riu ~ we go back and forth monthly it seems. im currently better.

Boston ~ hasnt been able to beat me other then the 1st day the game came out.

Drumz ~ who ever had more lag won. on top of that same as w/ you and quik i wasnt doing any big combos back then.




again i struggle vs 5 players, the rest i can compete vs.



im sure Bone would be able to beat any 1 on your top players list.

The last I played you did big Kitana combos. Don't know if it was 57% though.

before someone pops a blood vessel, i was half serious when I said I'd be the best offline bit. Not trying to take away from anyone who's dedicated themselves to becoming an offline elite.

it was 10-3 me. he was scorpion a bunch. it was some time between nov and dec i believe. on top of that he beat me once in a series in MKD because i wasnt ready for him to pick bo alot. i started lodsing to bos when i dropped my ASHRAH 2 throw combos. which i should have never done because its the same as bo throw OTG. MKD was trash and OTG's desevered Partials to be done on them. why i stopped ill never know.



my big kitana combos vs you were 35% max. i couldnt even A/C you because you were always on the ground when i did 1,1,2 kit would go back into teh air and you would be gone LOL.

33 is what i use now to cancel out lag problems.

also i prolly still would lose to you 10-0. but id like to get a series w/ you again, miss playing you reguardless of the score.

The thing about it is the fact that what is one series? Its all about what you do on a consistent basis. I mean how many series have i beat you in? You got me in 1. Honestly man,You were not underrated. You just simply didnt understand high level play yet and that is how we all started out. I had Dave and Thug teach me the way and i just passed the torch on to you. You have come along way and i think that you would give Versa and Dave a nice series (the problem is they would be so rusty and you would be getting robbed of there full potential) So therefore it would be totally one sided.

I have fought them both on a consistent basis and they are the only players that i never beat in a series. Versa beat me the worst and Dave (I hate Dai lol) was just to damn good at mindgames. I was always ahead by 1 move and Dave and Versa were always ahead by 3-5 moves and it was jsut unreal. I have never fought Check before so i couldnt say anything about his playing,buti will agree with the fact that he would OWN us all offline. He is simply the greatest player of all time no matter offline or online because of his knowledge of the game. Basically,i have to wait to get my revenge on these guys and oh dont you worry, One day,i will figure you guys out.

Damn i miss the good old days....Getting raped by Dave and Versa and still playing. Honestly,I agree with Dan. I wish you guys would come back. If you did (Which i know it will never happen happen) I would come back to. I left becuase of the competition died down immensely.

I remember atleast losing serie's here and there. Since then, in the last 8 months i won almost every series except i think like 3.
