Ziff Davis reacquire 1UP; reportedly shutting it (and other resources) down to focus on IGN & AskForMen. UGO & Gamespy reported to be going. Bit of a bum move.

I don't think you can ever downplay the value of Mortal Kombat Online's 14 year history, but at the rate major institutions are going down, it highlights how valuable it really is.

The one thing MKO has that no other site has, is a devoted fanbase.

The majority of users on this site are devoted fans of Mortal Kombat, and others notice it. It attracts them to want to join and share their own devotion. And the process repeats itself.

It's why I've been a member of this site for nearly ten years. I AM NOT A NERD!
