I don't particularly feel sorry for the bees in this instance because Japan got introduced to hornets a few years back and the bees weren't used to them in the eco system. I remember reading that the bees actually figured out a way to kill the hornets. Once one gets in the hive they all vibrate their wings. The tempurature around the hornet to something like 110 degrees farenheit but the bees could survive up to 118. So the bees would cook the hornet alive. Wild stuff. And they say that other animals can't learn.
