I am so much more excited about Tekken 5 than MKD, I like the roster so far, the only character from Tekken 4 that isnt in Tekken 5 is Combot, but you know they'll have another Mokujin/Combot character. I read somewhere that they have put fire and laser graphics in the game(Devil/Ogre), so I hope Heihachi isnt the boss yet again.

im more exited about the coming of deception but tekken 5 will kick some ass.And did someone know if it will play online.

The one thing about Tekken 4 that really disappointed me was the lack of the "OH SHIT" boss at the end of the game. You got to the end and fought Heihachi, I was like "ok I've fought him in all the previous Tekkens as a normal fighter or even a precursor boss, why is he a boss now?" I hope the devil ogre thing comes in here or Devil Jin. OR BOTH!!! that would be kickass.

EXACTLY!!!!! I was hoping for the Devil/Ogre gene mix to be the boss, or I thought Unknown was gonna return, but when I Heihachi ended up eing the boss, I was pissed, I felt the same way, he was a normal character in all the other Tekkens. I hope there is another one of those "Oh shit!" bosses.

In the story they said that a new head has taken over the Mishima Zaibatsu, the only other relative that I know that is still alive besides Asuka is Lee. He sure has the money to restart the Zaibatsu. Could he be the new boss character. And does he have Devil blood runing through his viens just like the rest of them? I'm really excited to see Raven, I think he has to be one of the coolest new characters.

All.net will be in japan providing online play, running a Tekken-Net service to provide online Tekken.

If I'm not mistaken the 30k T5 set up is the only one which allows online play, anyways. 0_0 A little spendy compared to the standard 5k cab that most arcades will house. I know for damn sure that my arcade isn't willing to spend the money on a T3 or similar pipe; 28.8 if we're lucky, lol. Not sure what Canadas arcade scene is, but I think it's even worse than the US's I see no reason why T5 will not have online capabilities when it comes home to the PS2.

Lee is Heihachi's ADOPTED son, he's no blood relative of the Mishima family, I'd be gutted if we had a normal human boss with the potential for three monster type characters in Tekken 5 (Where's that Ogre/Devil/Heihachi character )

In preparation for Tekken 5 I heard it was going to play more like Tekken 3/Tag than 4, and from the Evo videos it looks to be true, so I loaded up Tekken Tag and started practicing as my favourite character Kazuya.

Up until now I was sure there wasn't any moves that could do any more damage than the simple 4 button kick after a rising uppercut which does 49 damage but after some fiddling about with juggling I found out that after the rising uppercut if you do the Entrails smash then the heel drop not only does it do 52 damage but it doesn't knock the opponent to far away so that they're still in demon scissors range. hahaha


EDIT: I've yet to test out this in Tekken 4 so I don't know whether any of his Tekken 4 juggling combos would be even more effective.

If Tekken 5 is online and I can actually get online, I'll be kicking some serious ass. I have a 150k connection for the PC, which is being upgraded soon to 300k for no extra cost, Once I've bought the game, which will cost a bit, as well as buying MK Deception when that's out, I've got to get everything else to get my ps2 online, adapter, harddrive etc. So for me it'll be a lot of money

Just a little update on the Tekken 5 preparation I went on Tekken 4 before I went out for the day, trying to improve upon my earlier juggling success.

I went on Tekken 4 to see what I could do and I'm pretty chuffed to say the least.

It's possible to do a nice 9-hit 82 damage combo with my fav Kazuya and one the first hit has connected the rest are unblockable Tekken 5 better be online because practicing this against the CPU on ultra hard is getting boring.

Kazyua and Jin are the shit! Those two are some of my favorites in the series.

Hey, most of you probably know this but just incase. If you pick Kazyua and then Devil as partners. You'll only see one of them on screen but if you tag Kazyua will morph into Devil and vice-versa. I'm actually pretty good with King, Paul, Gunjack and Yoshimitsue as well. I can end the fight in two hits with Yoshimitue or Paul. But as for the boss, I it might be Jin or Kazyua, along with Devil. Maybe it's a two on one and you have to fight both.

my fave is Bryan, I just love the guy, he rocks, I hope he doesn't get killed by yoshimitsu on tekken 5, cause I like both, but if one of them gets killed, I hope is yoshimitsu

I can also finish the fight with two attacks with paul...very easy...just do the back + square and triangle punch

He rocks alright. Just like Noob Saibot does in MKT. He's so unbalanced, if he was a set of scales, he'd be inside out.

Any time you fight somebody in a game of Tekken, power isn't what matters. Effectivity is. Any 4 year old can hold back+lp+rp, but that isn't whats going to win any matches worth winning.

I'm not a big fan of Tekken series, although I like much the Tekken 3.

In the finals of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 Kazuya was defeated by Heihachi, and moreover was also defeated by Jin Kazama at Honmaru. At the time he gradually began regaining conciousness, he realized he was surrounded by the Jack-4 force.

Through the course of events Kazuya and Heihachi had formed a joint struggle, but Kazuya seized an opportunity to escape honmaru and the enemy. He then changed into Devil, and flew away escaping the exploding Honmaru.

Kazuya was enraged at himself for being completely betrayed, and in order to achieve revenge he headed towards The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

At that point she received a letter addressed to her in a foreign language. Attached is an announcement of the King Of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

In order to fulfill her hopes for forest rejuvenation, Julia decides to enter the tournament.

Yoshimitsu is the head of the Manji clan, a philanthropical group that aims to assist the poor of the world.

During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, during an operation to attack the underground vaults of the Mishima Corporation, he discovers that Bryan Fury has fallen. He set out to rescue him, under Bosconovich's guidance.

One day, about a month after that, the sight that met Yoshimitsu's eyes as he went out to answer a distress call from Bosconovich was his distroyed base and corpses of the Manji clan members. According to what the fallen Bosconovich in the lab at the deepest chamber had to say, Bryan, in whom he had installed an eternal engine, had gone on a rampage.

"Repaying a debt of gratitude with the actions of an enemy.... We can't forgive him...."

Yoshimitsu's fist trembled with anger.

Afterwards, Yoshimitsu, hearing that Bryan would participate in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, decided to enter the tournament in order to reap vengeance for the dead Manjitou members.

"An eternal engine? That's great. That's really great!!" Shouting in joy, Bryan forced his way past Bosconovich. Noticing something was wrong, a number of Manji clan members tried to stop Bryan, but he threw all of them aside, and left the hidden village of the Manji behind him.

A few days later, Bryan, finding out that the King of Iron Fist Tournament would be held again, decided to enter the tournament in order to test the abilities of his eternal engine.

In The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, after defeating Craig Marduk, the murderer of his master, King visited the hospital in order to strike the final blow.
However, King realized the foolishness of revenge, and left the hospital behind him.

A while after returning to his homeland, he heard news that there had been announced a grudge match between Marduk, clad in a Black Jaguar Mask, and himself.

"There's no way I'm going to let him shame my master's name any further."

And so, it came to be that the grudge match between King and Craig Marduk would be realized in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.


PS: Somebody knows some web with the complete storylines of the fighters until Tekken 4. I know part of the history and several fighters, but I would like to deepen more in this saga, and I haven't found a web that puts all histories, only they put bios and endings by separated. Thanks.

After the King of Iron Fist Tournaments 4 had ended... In the inner sanctum of the Mishima Corporation's fortress, the father-son battle between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama unfolded. Judging Jin the victor of the battle, Heihachi Mishima abandoned Kazuya.

"So in the end, this is all you could do, eh? How useless! Now, just die!"

What followed then was a mortal battle between Heihachi and Jin. The power of Jin, who had sprouted black wings and became filled with anger, overpowered Heihachi, too, who prepared himself for death. However, right as he was about to lay the final blow, Jin returned to his senses.

"Thank you mother... thank you Jun Kazama." Saying this, he flew away from the inner sanctum.

A wasted Heihachi lay for a while, sprawled on the floor. There was a silence that made him wonder if the battle before was real or just a lie. However, that silence was shattered by the distant sound of an approaching aircraft. This sound became a roar, and just as he thought there was a sound like it had fired something, some Jacks came bursting into the room from the ceiling. For an instant, he thought it was some scheme of Kazuya's, but Kazuya, who had just awakened because of all the commotion, could not grasp the situation, either.

Just as Heihachi yelled that, a group of Jacks all attacked the two at once. Quite by accident, Kazuya and Heihachi fought together, and started to mow down the Jack group. However, no matter how many they defeated, replacement troops would break in after them, and it felt like the enemy's number never declined. And so, once even Heihachi started to get worn out, he was, as could be expected, thrown into the middle of the enemy, betrayed by Kazuya.

Looking down at the despairing Heihachi, Kazuya broke through a hole in the enemy lines and escaped from the inner sanctum. The explosion that destroyed the inner sanctum occured just after that.

Surveying the scene cooly was a man warpped in black clothes. The man lightly touched his ear, confirming the sound of the communicator, and reported shortly:

"Heihachi Mishima is dead...."

Immediately after that, a Jack attacked the man from behind, but in a flash, it was destroyed by his blade. At the same time, the man vanished.

The inner sanctum was destroyed without a trace, and the surrounding area became wrapped in flame. Amid the flame, something tossed aside the rubble, and appeared, coming out of the ground, but nobody saw it.

The next day, the death of Heihachi Mishima, the Mishima Corporation's leader, became known by the people of the world. At the same time, although that certainly spelled the end of the Mishima Corporation, someone rose to the top of the corporation, and a calm went over it as though nothing had happened.

One month later....

An announcement was made by the head of the Mishima Corporation, saying that The King of Iron Fist Tournaments 5 would be held.

The curtain is about to rise again, now, on The King of Iron Fist Tournaments, shrouded in mystery

Undefeated VAle Tudo Fighter Craig Marduk was infuriated over his loss to King in teh previous tournament. After being released from the hospital, he endured a harsh training regimen which enabled him to hone his body into the utimate weapon.

One day, Marduk entered a Vale Tudo tournament wearing a black jaguar mask. He successively down every opponent in his path and announced to face King once more.

The two will meet again at the king of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

Codenamed "Raven", he is one of the most skilled and ruthless agents in a certain goverment agency to which he belongs. Other than the X-shaped scar on his face, little is known about him.

While on a mission to investigate the connections between Mishima Zaibatsu and G-Corporation, he witnesses Heihachi Mishima being assaulted by a deployment of Jacks and the explosion that ensues when the Jacks self-destruct.

Afterwards, news reaches Raven that the King of Iron Fist tournament will be held. Raven decides to enter in order to gather intel about the tournament and the motives of those behind it.

The day after, Jane was found and rescued by a G-Corporation freighter. Jane joined the robotics division of G-Coporation and successfully created Jack-4. Jane used data collected from Jack-4 and began work on a newer model, Jack-5. She saw the upcoming King of Iron Fist as the perfect chance to test the latest model, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, Jack-5.

In his quest to become the strongest, however, he broke the dojo's rules forbidding contests with martial artists of other styles. When his master tried to interfere, Feng Wei killed him. It is during this confrontation that Feng Wei learns that, in order to truly master the art, he must learn the secrets hidden in the Shinken scrolls that were stolen by teh Mishima clan.

Feng Wei enters the tournament intent on recovering the secret scrolls.

ever since she was a child, Asuka had received training in Kazama style traditional martial arts from her father. Born with a strong sense of justice, Asuka was well known in Osaka for breaking up fights in the neighbourhood.

Upon returning home one day, Asuka found pupils of her father had been roughed up. She learns from the pupils that an unknown Chinese man showed up at the dojo, severely beat them and sent her father to the hospital.

Several days later, an Interpol detective from Hong Kong came to investigate the incident, mentioning that the suspect is more than likely planning on entering the King of Iron Fist tournament. Upon hearing this Asuka decides that she too, will enter the tournament.

Name: Ling Xiaoyu
Fighting Style: Hakke Ken, Hike Ken and various Chinese martial arts
Nationality: China

Ling is a high school student who is on a personal mission to save the Mishima family.

In the previous tournament, ling was aved from the evil plans of Heihachi by Yoshimitsu, who taught her the history of the Mishima family. Hearing this, Ling began to believe that the root of all misfortune surrounding the Mishimas started with Heihachi's cruel upbringing of Kazuya.

When Ling heard of the death of Heihachi, a tear came to her eye. "If only I could turn back time..."Ling said with a hint of sadness and regret.

Later, Ling happens to meet a brilliant scientist who claims that he can make a time machine as long as he gets the funding for development.

Under the condition that she will be first to use the machine, Ling pulls out the wadded scrap of paper in her pocket... an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.

Jin Kazama, son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama.

After the grueling battle between Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima, Jin takes flight, leaving Honmaru behind. He is overwhelmed by an evil presence and loses conciousness.

Jin wakes to an unknown voice and sees a mountiain forest, which appears to have been ravaged by a giant tornado.

However, Jin had no doubt that he was responsible for the destruction. Upon returning to Yakushima, Jin was plagued by reoccuring nightmares. Jin could feel the influence of the devil gene growing stronger.

"It is only a matter of time before I am completely overcome by the devil gene".

Although he has no direction, Jin begins his journey guided only by fate...

The MishMash videos are the best for seeing new moves, I love the new throw escapes instead of your basic push away counter.
