Besides, there's another way to determine whether any e-mail is legit or not:
Let's say I get an e-mail from some chick who's name is Sarah Lewis, and her e-mail address is hotchick80@hotmail.com.
Now, in the "From" part of your inbox, if it were a LEGIT e-mail, it should read "Sarah Lewis", NOT hotchick80@hotmail.com (and if in this case there IS a virus, then the person isn't aware he/she is sending an e-mail with a virus).
There IS a specific situation where the "From" part WOULD be the person's e-mail address instead of their name, but from what I know that person is sending you a link/invitation to another site.
