It's true. Aliens are freaking real man, I mean how many galaxies & planets are out there undiscovered? Thousands? Millions for than likely & in that much space out there how can we believe that we are the only lifeforms in the universe? It is completely bogus. Plus we have been contacted by aliens before countless times in our world's history like in Egypt where the pyramids at Giza are lined up with the stars (I can't remember which), also the blocks used to built the pyramids seem to cut with laser precision, nobody in 2560-2540 BC could cut blocks like that no way.

Absolutely true, given the trillions of planets in the universe, there's bound to be life on one of them. The Drake Equation suggests there are a handful of planets in our galaxy alone that could house life

No, aliens have never visited our planet before.

Of course, in a way, they have to keep it undercover. They know that when it becomes official, the whole view on the Universe would change.
We would have to re-write History, if they confirm that they have been visiting us for thousands of years. Religion would be put to the test. Every aspect of life would be questioned; Science, Religion, History, Humanity, Spirituality, etc.

I don't think that much would change after initial public contact, since so many people believe already. There'd be a lot of sensationalized hype from the media, and some crazy nut-job trying to massacre a school (but that happens anyway), but once the heat dies down the most anyone would do is say "huh, i told you so."

I honestly don't know if you are being sarcastic or if your serious but aliens have & continue to visit this planet each day ala UFO sightings day after day.

I haven't checked the link, but this thread reminded me of that quote from the beginning of XCOM...

The implications would be huge if we ever made contact.

Even moreso if the alien origin theory comes true and our theoretical creators actually show up. Imagine if in one fell swoop the monotheistic religions of judaism, christianity and islam were to be proven wrong.... literally hell would explode...

Or an even more ominous possibility: we are not alone, and our neighbours are not friendly. And I am not talking about Ridley Scott aliens, but perhaps other types of beings inconceivable to us...

wrost case scenario: Da ORKZ IZ REAL, WAAAGH!

heres a thought. you know how we are taught that the other planets we know of like venus saturn neptune mercury blahblah are not habitabal? what if the lie is to say such a thing to hide such a truth?

with all the money spent on the space program why continue it if nothing is in fact out there?

everyone please read:

REAL interview with a REAL alien.

http://www.thenewearth.org/Roswell.pdf

alien invasion has already happened (conspiracies, cover-ups, illuminati, the Powers That Be).

you'll notice that the alien describes the invaders as "reptilian." research David Icke and he'll explain all about it.

Sometimes I like to wonder the disappointment that some would feel if we truly are alone. It's an interesting thought in itself.

I also like to wonder about what it would be like if we are the most advanced species in the Universe.

Also, you guys are giving me good stuff for my show grin

You should watch Ancient Aliens on H2. If you don't have the channel, go on the History Channel site then go under H2. Then click on Ancient Aliens then episodes. They have some interesting theories on that show. I'm sure they'll be good for your radio show.

This times a million. I need to get this as either a bumper sticker or just plain tattoo'ed on my chest. Thats how hard I agree. Fuck the history channel's bullshit. Aliens straight up did not build the pyramids or any of the other nonsense the history channel says. Just because a civilization was ahead of their time and we don't know every little thing about them doesn't mean we can fill in the blanks with aliens. Thats such a cop out.

The vastness of space is simply mind blowing yet people still talk about Earth as if it was the center of the universe. If there was a species technologically capable of traveling through the HUGE emptiness of space, why the fuck would they want to come to earth? We wouldn't even be a blip on their radar. It would be the equivalent of a human being driving 60 miles an hour pass an ant hill on the highway. How often do you guys get out of your car and look for ant hills when driving on the free way?? What would even be the gain of finding one? Would you bother trying to explain to them how to make gas powered cars of their own? By the way I am totally stealing this concept from the physicist Michio Kaku (Asian scientist with white hair who's on tv a bunch) who says it way better than me. You guys should check him out, he's fantastic about explaining complex things.

I think the real thing people never really seem to want to talk about or accept is although statistically speaking yes there is probably life somewhere else out in the universe we will most likely never, ever encounter each other. Hell the stars we look at in the sky are so incredibly far away by time their light reaches us many of them no longer exist. And if they do they would still not be in the condition we saw them as. Space travel to me seems more based on time travel if anything. But anyway. with all this in mind, we are very much alone in the universe. All we have is this planet at this particular time. Why that bothers people (I admit it even sounds dismal to me) is a far more interesting question in my opinion. What are we really looking for? Why is it so important for there to be some higher form of life than ourselves (technologically or spiritually speaking) who are controlling or imposing on mankind's destiny from afar...?

... If any civilization living thousands of light years away, were to find Earth, Why wouldn't they want to visit? It's not like every solar systems has anorther planet like Earth.

Earth is a very unique planet, that is capable of creating and containing life. That's very rare in the Universe. I'm sure future humanity will do the same thing if or when they have the technology to travel far distances and IF they find another planet like Earth, of course they would want to visit it. Our planet is not going to last forever, so of course you want to expand and look for other areas to live eventually or create a new civilization to keep life going.

Has anyone ever seen a UFO? About two years ago at the end of Summer,I seen a fiery looking comet looking thingy in the sky...coming down like a plane on fire.I didn't see or hear nothing on the news about it so I didnt think much of it until recently I started listening to George Noory on Coast to Coast on 1210 radio station. He and a guest where talking about UFO's and one of many descriptions of them was a fiery comet thing only seen on the East coast. It was like 3:00 am when i listened to it and I was literally shitting myself in bed.

*sob* Now I believe!!! Ahaaa haa haa haa sad

-The simple amount of space in the universe and it boundaries, is beyond our comprehension. To say we are alone is ridiculous.

-Carbon based lifeforms are likely not the only possible structure for life. I recall reading that many thought there were entire oceans of other elements (possibly nitrogen) under the "ice" of some space bodies. At one time, I believe one of Jupiter's or Saturn's Moons was a candidate.

-The mere chance that the earth is the only body in the solar system (to our public recognition) that hosts an abundance of Water, is ridiculous. I wouldn't doubt that the earth itself is a result of some sort of produced environment. And it being next to a planet like Mars with it's assumed once livable environment? Too much of a coincidence in a universe of apparent random occurrence. Not buying it. 2 planets with potentially life-supporting environments right next to each other. One showing signs of once being inhabited, the other currently inhabited with a "random" 70% surface of water? Nope...

-Too many similar accounts of extra-terrestrial contact. Specifically when it comes to communication. The amount of times I have read or watched people who have claimed to be in contact with a race of beings called the Pleiadians, is too much to ignore. Almost all accounts and witness reports depict them as the exact same as the next person. Same motivations, same existence etc. Apparently coming from the constellation Pleiades. Thus the name.

-I have heard various debunking and support of "The Disclosure Project". No idea. But seemingly real government and military officials come forth and disclose classified information. Some of it is pretty fucking insane.

In short? I believe. But we have much to worry about here on the earth. I'm more concerned for that right now. We need to change, as a species. Time is wasting.

EDIT: and remember guys, you can believe in UFOs without believing in aliens.

I don't know. NASA reported finding a bacteria that used arsenic instead of phosphorous in their DNA some years ago, but when placed in phosphorous-free environments, the stuff couldn't survive. It turns out that that bacteria used phosphorous for its DNA just like we do. Until we observe an actual instance in nature, I'm not sold on non-carbon life.

I think people should be cautious of both mentalities. No one should pretend to understand the scope of the universe, but at the same time, it's not justified to say the universe is so big that other intelligent lifeforms must exist. People get so caught up in the biology that they forget about the mathematics. The universe is roughly 14 billion years old. That's not a long time for life to form when considering the probabilities (and remember, planets have to cool, so that margin is probably more like six billion).

"It's possible" is the most intellectually honest position, IMO.

Even though 14 billion years may not seem like a long time, think about the billions of galaxies with trillions of stars each with their own possible systems. Life in any particular system is highly unlikely but when you combine that with countless amounts systems out there then it doesn't look as improbable.

Remember though, those planets have to have organic gases in addition to being the proper distance to their relative stars. When you take that into consideration, those odds start to get much smaller. And then there's planet size itself. Too much or too little gravity creates huge problems for organic life.

I said in first post that UFOs and Aliens can exist exclusively. The same goes for life and civilization. Even if some primordial soup overcomes insane odds and forms one-celled organisms, and those organisms overcome even more insane odds and form into intelligent life, that life has to survive long enough to be sophisticated.

And EVEN after that, evolution is fundamentally random. No matter how long an species lives, it is not guaranteed to form large brains and opposable thumbs. The right mutations have to happen, and they can only happen after the one-celled peeps overcome an oblivion of probabilities.

Nonetheless, I do believe in the possibility of other life. I don't think any such life has visited us, though.
