Just say these 3 things:
1. Yo moms/ pops, l wanna talk to your fine lil daughter so we can discuss our future marriage plans
2. I got candy for her
3. I'll help her with homework
Then you're guaranteed 0% awkwardness, and 82.1% booty.

Anonymous - "Facebook going down Nov. 5
Anonymous' reasoning is that they claim, Facebook is actually selling our info to companies, since Facebook claims when you register that they own your info. Anonymous is claiming that bringing down Facebook is an act of freedom.
As to weather I think Anonymous could bring down Facebook I honestly don't think so. Such a big company/website like facebook, with such sensitive information, I would think that they would have some of the highest level of security in place. Then again everyone was shocked about Sony, so who really knows.
This whole situation is completely bizarre.
I do believe Anonymous could take down Facebook if they wanted. As a surprise attack, not after announcing months in advance. Facebook will pay out of their ass for the best hacker protection available in the universe.
As for the so called motives, that's bullshit and Anonymous is full of shit. With the exception of the attack on Scientology, their work is mostly for their own little fun, which is retarded and criminal.

I was going to say, Sony's as big a company as Facebook and handles sensitive info as well and they got schooled.
Anonymous is an internet Force of Nature. You can't really stop them, either join them or get out of the way, Most of their stuff I have agreed with (yes, for the lulz), but the Sony thing and now possibility of Facebook? Seems a bit off kilter to me.

Wait, they're doing it on November 5th?

That's my birthday!
lmao
To be honest, for a good while now, the e-mail I have that's registered for FB's been getting a lot of spam for various companies (YouTube, Starbucks, Best Buy), and it's been getting annoying. I wouldn't put it past them to be selling information, and I even recall that FB's ability to recall deleted account information without any problems goes against some Canadian laws. I remember an article or two that brought it up last year, and can't find the links at the moment, but I'm willing to bet that Anonymous is mostly doing it for the "lulz" as opposed to freedom.

There's a Wiki page on them.
