I was wondering if there were any fellow migraine sufferers here. I was also wondering:
1. What are your triggers (if you've figured them out)? I've noticed my migraines tend to intensify when a large front comes through and there's a drop in barometric pressure.
I've also noticed that prolonged exposure to excessively loud noise can trigger them. My sister bought me concert tickets for my birthday, but I ended up leaving the concert in the middle of it because I couldn't take all the loud music and flashing lights.
Exposure to excessive light can trigger them as well.
2. What are your symptoms (pain, visual auras, sensitivity to light and sound, mental confusion, nausea, etc)? I usually have all of the above. I can tell when a migraine is coming on because my vision will change. I rarely have severe visual disruptions, but once I had such terrible auras I could hardly see. I was at work, too, and couldn't drive myself home.
3. What do you do when you get a migraine? For me, if I don't take something right away, I'm screwed. Sometimes they get so bad the only thing that helps is a dark, quiet room.
4. What do you wish people knew about migraines? I wish people knew that migraines are not "just headaches." If you've never experienced one, count yourself lucky, because they're horrible.

Wow, totally not necessary...
I suffer from migraines. In fact, they are one of various triggers that causes my medical condition to act up called syncope. They occur when the barometric meter drops, change in weather, randomness too.
How I treat them are either just screaming, TRYING to fall asleep, or aspirin. I used to take excedirns but unfortunately they make my heart race so I had to stop taking them. I also go see a chiropractor too.
The pain usually feels like a painful, throbbing, stab that occurs either on the left side of my head or the right. Very rarely do I get a front headache or anything like that.
I know a few people that suffers from them, they just take aspirin. Unfortunately for me, I can't anymore.

Just joking.Unless you are talking about the three smiley faces,it glitched.AHHH. JEBUS!!! My head is actually killing me...
1. What are your triggers? stress, caffeine and light. ive inherited a super-sensitivity to UV light from my mother. basically ensures constant headaches and migraines.
2. What are your symptoms? excrutiating pain (head feels like its being crushed), visual haze and even blindness (centre of my vision is solid grey but the peripheral is somtimes clear), nausea, profuse sweating and severe disorientation. plus ive had them last as long as a month but some symptoms go away eventually.
3. What do you do when you get a migraine? cant take anything for it. another thing ive inherited is a massive tolerance for painkillers. my mom and i both get migraines so bad we're able to go to the hospital to get actual morphine shots. they never work. but i usually go to my room and listen to music. i can focus on the music and ignore some pain.
4. What do you wish people knew about migraines? essentially the same as you.

1: Usually triggered by Caffeine withdrawl.
2: Extreme excruciating pain, light hurts, sound hurts. Feels like a sledgehammer was taken to my forehead/temples, eyes/orbital rims, sometimes my entire face hurts.
I don't see shit, but sometimes things get bright/fuzzy.
3: Drink coffee, and/or take Advil. Sometimes I put a damp reg in the freezer then on my forehead n laydown.
4: I wish people knew how fucking much it fucking hurts, fuck! Never talk to me when I have a headache, I will be... beligerant, to say the least...
