I took JavaScript this past year in college, and just barely managed to get through the course. Now that I have graduated I'm trying to look for a job as a web designer, but most places want people with experience in JavaScript. Can anyone recomemd any good books for learning/relearning JavaScript. Or something that can at least pull what I have learned in college together? Cause I kind of get some of it, but it's just jumbeled around in my head and i need to pull it all togetgher.

Also can anyone recomend any good books for learning PHP? I've heard of it for web design/developement, but I never learned it in college, and I've noticed some place actually looking for people with experince in it.
