Yes, I love that game. I remember way back when people used to line up in the arcades to play the game. I used to kick peoples butt in that game with Orchid. I would pull off huge combos with her and finish them off with and ultra combo. Then sometimes turn them into frogs and step on them. Great game. The arcade version was awesome. SNES version sucked. I wish they re-released it for the next generation consoles as a double combo pack with KI and KI2.

Hell yeah dude! Orchid owns all of Killer Instinct fighters! In KI 1 & 2 she was awesome. Great idea for the double combo pack thingy too, I was thinking the same thing. grin

Personally I believe that the three best fighters ever are MK, Eternal Champions 2 (Sega CD), and KI. These three games offered something new to the fighting game genre.

I still play KI faithfully (especially gold on N64, the game still looks gorgeous after some many years). My personal favorite characters are Orchid, Maya (love charged based moves) and T.J. Combo.

Yes there will eventually be another KI title (KI3) but no time soon, we're talking about the near future. I read a recent article review that interviewed Rare stating that they're considering doing a KI3, but unfortunately, it more than likely won't see the light of day until Xbox2's prime on that system. To know that Rare is still thinking of KI is a good sign.

The game is also rumored to play in full montion 3d this time around, with interactive backgrounds.

When I find the site that featured this interview again, I'll post it's address here.
