God damn it what's wrong with you people. I've explained why robot chicks are unquestionably and unarguably better than Vampire chicks. It's not even a matter of opinion at all.

Gotta agree with this dude. I find the (bat like) wings extremely sexy, whether they are on a vampire or a succubus or anything (although probably more on vampires, only because you WILL die if you had sex with a succubus.)

With robots, if they look, feel, sound, smell and taste like a human, then whats the difference really? The only upside is i could say 'make me a ham sandwich, bitch' and not get beaten within an inch of my life.

Another thing about the vampires killing you thing. Pressumably, for a vampire to actually kill you, they would have to suck so much blood out of you that you die from the loss of blood. If she was desperate, but actually cared for you then could she not just take some but enough to keep you alive? Seems plausible to me.

I don't know about some of that. I've read Dracula and Carmilla, and those women were VICIOUS. They tore a baby apart, stalked children, and bled those they wanted to keep alive slowly, to the point of death (with implied rape). I don't think vampires are the "loving" sort. Sure, Bela Lugosi and Gary Oldman made them a tad sexy, but their origins in myth and literature scare the holy hell out of me. I'd RATHER get it on with a succubus than a vampire (hello, Morrigan.)

This is easily the closest contest we've had thus far.

I think the origins of the "sexy" vampire come from the need to make the vampire a sympathetic character beyond just "Boo, I'm gonna kill the fuck out of you." It's a lot harder to make a character compelling when they look like Nosferatu. This became particularly important when all of a sudden vampires became candidates for actual good guys or at least morally ambiguous antiheroes.
