syphon filter 2, in my opinion it was one of the best video games of them all, though reasons why it was better:

reasons it was better then 1:

you could play as lian.

spaz's.

no already guarenteed weapons.

better and more challenging levels.

why it was better then three:

gabe did not look like he was 50.

lian did not look like she was on crack.

you did not have to play as teresa or lawrence.

and soo many others, so in my opinion syphon filter two was the best sequel ever.

Resident Evil 2, better story and improved visuals.

Street Fighter 2. It single-handedly defined the genre.

I agree, Twisted Metal 2 was an awesome game. I still remember the first time i saw Darktooth, and i nearly shit my pants because his ice cream truck was so HUGE! *memories*, it was an awesome game.

Super Mario 3 is probably my favourite game for the NES. Its definately alot better then Mario 1 or 2. With 8 worlds, tons of levels, huge secrets, and sweet items, its one of the best Mario games ever.

Well, if it's only secondary installments then I'd have to say either Mortal Kombat 2 (probably my favorite Mortal Kombat) or Devil May Cry 2. I liked MGS2 but I really think it's one of those things where the first one was so great it just had to much of a reputation to live up to.

Best Sequel Ever = Kirby Superstar

I'm looking forward to "Kirby Star: Great Labyrinth of the Mirror" It's gonna be the latest addition to the Kirby series.
