Saying Faith won the fight in "This Years Girl" is very misleading. Faith lost on purpose, switched bodies, then knocked Buffy out(who was now in Faith's body). That isn't much of a win. Especially if you claim Buffy's win doesn't count because she used a weapon.

Buffy has shown far more resourcefulness than Faith and has much, much more experience in big fights against top tier beings like Glory and Adam. Buffy also shows a much bigger understanding of slayer power and battle tactics. She is also much more disciplined and trained. Buffy has been a slayer for 8 years and has beaten back some of the nastiest and most powerful beings ever, but Faith was called years later and was in a coma and in prison for much of that time.

Well when I think about it in those terms...Then yeah I guess your right.

The Scoobies, most definitely! No doubt at all.

I like the scoobies a lot more, but Angel generally has better fighters. Xander may be a good friend and be able to do research, but he couldn't do much against someone like Wes or Gunn.

Of course a big factor is what era we're talking about. Angel's crew lost Wes but has Spike & Illyria and Buffy got powerful allies like a bunch of new slayers and the mighty...Andrew.

LOL @ Andrew. Yeah, but don't forget the scoobies have thier ace in the hole, with the all powerful WILLOW! Though it's unlikely she could take on Illyria, she could definitely make short work of the others, regardless of fighting ablility.

P.S. Towards the end, I think that Xander's fighting ablility had improved quite a bit since the early years.

Yeah, even with one eye he could still hold his own against some baddies.

LOL, well if the Angel crew still had Cordy, Xander wouldn't be a problem at all, as Cordy could cut him down fast with a few well placed insults!

I think if you use the final cast members of each show...perhaps Angel would win because I think when all was said and done that fight would end up coming down to Willow and Illyria...and much as I love Will, Illyria would slaughter her.

The problem with Will is that she is so reluctant to use her power to it's fullest.


Giles vs. Wes would be cool.

Very true, though I think that seeing the rest of her friends cut down in battle would serve to make that handicap go away, and she'd put up a good fight, but still lose to the ancient demon.

Well that depends on Which Wes we're talking about: Are we talking Watcher Wes? Or Badass Wes? Though I think in either incarnation, Giles would own Wes. If it were "badass" Wes it would be one hell of a fight though. That's just me though.

It's funny to think of how far Wes has come. Who would have EVER thought the dorky Wes in season 3 of Buffy would end up being an scruffy looking, brooding, gun toting badass?

Now for My take on your matches:

Anyanka vs. Halfrek - I think Halle takes this one, only because she has stated that she uses her powers more diversly while Anyanka pretty much sticks to Pissed off Females crying to have their no good boyfriends intestines ripped out..*shrugs*


The Mayor vs. The Master - I assume you mean the indestructable Mayor right before the Asscention(Sp?) ? If that's the case, the Mayor. Only because he could do nothiing to hurt the good Mayor.


Willow vs. Angelus - Willow, if she's in full badass witch mode and not scared to use her powers...if it's normal reluctant Will, kiss her ass goodbye.


Gunn vs. Xander vs. Riley vs. Oz - I think this fight would end up coming down to Gunn and Riley, then Gunn would proceed to kick the ever living crap out of Riley, snap his neck and then just walk away shaking his head.


Darla vs. Drusilla - This, IMO, would be a pretty decent fight to watch. Drusilla may be a bit...ok VERY insane, but she proved that when it counts she can be just as deadly as any vampire by taking out Kendra (and rather easily I might add, How the hell would a trained VAMPIRE SLAYER, fall for that "look into my eyes" bit?!) That being said, I say Darla takes this one, because she is deliciously ruthless, and very cunning.


Adam vs. RoboBuffy - Adam, because even the real Buffy couldn't so much as dent him until she was super-Mojo'd to do so. And I believe the real Buffy even at normal power, is stronger than the RoboBuff.


Kennedy vs. Tara - Kennedy, because Tara's even more reluctant to use Magic than Willow... Of course after this fight Will would get all Veiny again and then Kennedy would be a memory.


Cordelia vs. Lorne - Cordy all the way!

Connor vs. Dawn - are you kidding? LOL Dawn would be spanked so hard...it's scary to even think about it...no contest: Connor. (Who would later be brutally killed by Buffy)

Buffy would kick Faith's ass. Buffy not only beat Faith, she also kicked the shit out of Angel. And aside from Spike she is one of the only to do that. Remember Buffy has had a unique life from any other slayer and that is how she has managed.

Can anyone tell me how cordelia died, I missed that Angel episode and still havent been able to see it yet. Thanks!
